Friends and Family alike dressed in black mourned the thirty five year old actor Hans Potterman who committed suicide in his apartment four days ago.

The bells of St Patrick's Cathedral tolled as numerous Hollywood and Broadway stars joined the Potterman - Beaumont family to offer their condolences and take part in the funeral. The service was led by Reverend Hugo Allen, auxiliary bishop of Manchester who flew in for the occasion.
The tributes was led by Viola Carter, who was seen in public company after she retired ten years ago following the loss of her daughter to lymphatic cancer and the subsequent divorce from her husband.
Miss Carter stated in this previous interview that she felt a peculiar kinship towards Potterman because they grew up in the same place and they both had the thickest English accents in Hollywood. She played Henry the eighth's mistress Bessie Blount in Potterman's award winning debut biopic, 'Fitzroy.' It was her first and only acting role.

Struggling with her emotions, Miss Carter spoke, holding the itinerary to her chest, "It is so hard for me to wake up every morning and realize that Hans is not with us anymore. He was such a treasure."

Miss Carter then described Potterman as "an absolute delight to watch on screen" and "his absence will be keenly felt." She then proceeded to sing her '97 hit song 'Through the Night' from her multi platinum record 'Godspeed.'

Describing their first meeting after her song, she recalled, "Here's this boy, barely twenty, already playing the lover of the bastard son of Henry the eighth and a prominent man in the court, Henry Howard - a notorious and a controversial character - to brilliant precision and perfection. It was a blessed opportunity to watch him do it. And an experience I would forever cherish. "

The singer wiped her tears as she stepped down from the podium, refusing to take the hand of an usher standing nearby.

The eulogy was delivered by Potterman's frequent co-star and dear friend Tristan Moore, who described his years of knowing Potterman as "the best ten years of my life." His ten month old son with Victoria's secret model Brenda Quirke, Hans Daniel Moore, named after Potterman was sleeping in his mother's arms as she wiped away her tears.

Moore then went on to state that, "He was such a positive source of energy in my life. He was always there, whenever you needed him. I called him to announce my son's birth at 3 AM when he was China, shooting for 'Agent Jim', and my wife was under serious observation. The docs told told me she may not make it. Hans was next to me the next morning. He hadn't brushed, hadn't showered. He told me he just took the next flight back here."

The black coffin, decorated with pansies and daffodils was led outside of the church to the hymns of The Faithful One led by the choir.
