Actor Hans Potterman private memorial service at Manchester: Laura Beaumont spotted wearing the engagement ring

- 08 September 2015, Manchester

Residents of Manchester remember Hans Potterman in the public memorial service held last evening here.

Reverend Peter Whittle of the All Saints Church presided over the services in the backyard of the Potterman's five bedroom cottage in St Peterborough. Residents and close friends of the Potterman family attended the event to offer their silent support to the grieving family.

Also spotted was Potterman's fiancée Laura Beaumont whom he was set to marry this winter. Miss Beaumont who is the only heiress to the world's largest winery met the Actor during his visit to Paris when he was shooting for the first installment of 'Agent Jim'.

Miss Beaumont looked drawn as she was dressed in a black Alexander McQueen cocktail dress. The only jewellery on her was the huge diamond ring Actor Hans Potterman proposed her with. This is Laura Beaumont 's first public appearance after the death of her fiancé.

The late actor's mother, Anna Potterman, told the gathering that Manchester was always a "special place" for Hans.

"Hans may have lived in New York for a large part of his life, but his heart was in Manchester. He loved this place and was so proud to call this place home and the people his family.

"Evan and I are so blessed to have good friends like you to stand with us in times of trial. I sincerely hope every memory of Hans you have is one that brings gladness to your hearts."

Hans Potterman: The New UN ambassador for Goodwill
[Clip from the Daniel White Interview 13 October 2014]

Daniel: We are speaking about the influence media could have on the positive and negative shaping of a society. Recently, you were appointed as the UN Ambassador for Goodwill. Tell us more about that.

Hans: It is a great honour, to be even considered for it. I think...I think being an actor is a great social responsibility. You have thousands of people who are watching your every move, waiting for you to fall apart. As I said before, this can be a very good thing, or a very bad thing. I decided I was going to make it a good thing. There are a lot of people who are doing greater and better stuff than me, but i have people who are paid to publicise what I do. Right now, there's a revolution happening. People all over over the world - especially the youth - are coming together for a common cause: to make the society a better place for their children to live. The language and cultural barriers are being broken down. People are becoming more accepting of the crucial things of the last century, like race, religion, and sexual orientation. I'm in a position right now to further this movement. And I'm so glad to have the chance to be on the frontlines.
