Dalton had a slight predicament.

He bought a clip.

It was on impulse, really.

It was a clip with a lily on it.

It reminded him of Hana. After all, in Japanese the name "hana" meant flower. When Hana told Dalton this, Dalton casually dismissed it as an interesting fact.

However when he was face with that clip, he couldn't help but think about her. Surely, he wasn't going to buy it but the sales person staring at him was making him feel quite relentless.

"Is this for your girlfriend?" The salesperson asked Dalton. Dalton really didn't want to explain himself so he just nodded.

"Oh you have a nice eye, it's a sale, so the clip is about four dollars or so. Would you like to buy it?" Initially, Dalton was going to say no but when the desperate salesperson came closer to him, he could only sigh.

So now he had a clip, all he had to do was give the clip to Hana but not during tutor. Not during tutor at all.

He knew that Ethan would give him that side eyed that irritated Dalton.

So that would mean he would have to give it to her during class. Problem was, Hana was surrounded by her friends it was almost irritating to find her alone.

Ready to give up and throw the stupid clip away, Dalton sat down at the cafeteria eating his lunch. He didn't mind being alone all that much, it didn't matter to him after all.

So when Hana casually sat down in front of him, he didn't really react but he was pretty surprised. They didn't really talk to each other in class.

Hana was squirming around, looking left to right and that made Dalton raise his eyebrow.

"Uh." She started, "you know for the tutor homework, did you get question 14?"

Suddenly his suspicion disappeared and he nodded, "I'll show you the solution."

With that he took his notebooks out and Hana sat down staring at it. Her bangs were falling towards her eyes in which she moved them to the side.

"My hairs growing longer."

Suddenly Dalton found a cue to give it to her, "here, take this." He scrummaged through his pockets and tossed the clip at Hana.

This surprised her as she stared at the clip, "isn't this a little too cute for you to have?"

"Must've been stuck with my mom's stuff." Dalton had lied and he wasn't sure why he had too. There was no reason for him to lie.

"Oh, I'll give it back to you later then."

"Don't bother, keep it."

There was silence before Hana tried to deny such an act.

"Keep it." Dalton said more sternly and Hana could only nod.

Dalton noted that Hana's face would get red a lot but he decided not to read too much into it.

When he glanced at her, she smiled putting the clip on her head.

The side of his lip quirked upwards to the left.

It suited her.
