"You're finally out of high school Erin and you still hate eating fish!"

Erin frowned at the other person on the line, Erin's mom was sure rude about her hatred for fish.

"I can't help it, Mom! I didn't like it when I was five and I won't like it now."

Erin could hear the disappointment in her mom's voice as she began to speak, "I know but you're turning nineteen sweetie, your dad and I wanted to eat fish to celebrate."

"Its fine mom, you and dad don't need to visit me. My university is far and I'll visit you in the holidays, how does that sound? You guys are sure strange for craving fish...."

Any disappointment in Erin's mom's voice was replaced with laughter, "fish is good, Erin. Your dad and I don't want you to be alone this year....you know—"

"Because you think I'm going to be lonely thinking about Aiden." Erin finished her sentence and there was silence on the other line. "Mom, I've already accepted the fact, he's out of my life. He's gone and he won't ever be back, but I'll be okay...it's already been two years."

It's been two years since Aiden left Erin.

Erin could imagine her mom's concerned face but she tried to sound cheerful, "I see. Then visit us next week and we'll celebrate later. Happy Birthday Erin!"

"Thanks Mom. See you soon."

The other line ended and Erin sighed.

Erin laid on my bed wondering if she should have went out on her birthday. Her roommate had left to visit her boyfriend in another city while she decided to study.

She checked her phone to see a few messages from her old high school friends. Erin smiled.

Happy Birthday Erin! I miss you lots, I hate how I'm an ocean away from you, I'll definitely be back on the holiday so we'll celebrate then – Hana

HBD GIRLFRIEND! I can't believe I'm not there to celebrate with you, but my stupid boyfriend Ian decided to make me visit his parents! The gifts should arrive at your place soon! I'll see you later though! – Tina

Happy Birthday. I will see you soon. – Mei

Hbd! Cramming really hard right now, but I'll see your lovely face tomorrow, too bad I couldn't celebrate it the day of, but I love you lots and hope you have fun! – Sam.

Erin was overwhelmed with joy from their messages. However, she was waiting for one message from a certain person. She knew he'll never be able to say it to her again.

She wanted to see him again.

"Aiden..."

Erin closed her eyes, wishing to see him again.

"Calling for me in your sleep, Erin?" A familiar voice called out to Erin. His husky voice that hummed through her ear was a bit perplexing.

She opened her eyes and saw the boy that she had missed for the past few years.

But instead of hugging him in a tight embrace, she screamed.

"Shit, Erin I didn't think you could scream like that." Aiden responded.

"H-How!? W-where? Is this is a dream!? Aren't you supposed to be dead!?" Erin looked around and noticed that she was still in the comfort of her dorm. The only difference was that there was a boy standing right in front of her.

He sighed and sat on my bed, she inched away from him.

He pouted.

"It's been so long and all you do is move away. How rude."
