"My girlfriend dumped me." Devon smoothly said, without an inch of sadness in his voice.

Mel wasn't sure whether or not she was suppose to comfort him. The nonchalant boy always had a way of acting like his problems...were not his problems.

She stared at him, slightly baffled.

"Don't look at me like that, Mel." Devon smiled, his award winning smile. It was barely two weeks since the two of them had met, but he was spilling a lot of private information to Mel.

Mel couldn't help but wonder if he was sick in the head.

"Uh...what was her name?"

"Her name was Sam."

"Sam?"

"It seems she couldn't forgot about the boy she loved in high school, I think his name was Knight?"

"Never heard of him." Mel stated, she had saw Sam with Devon a while back but she quickly dismissed it. Sam seemed like a nice girl when Devon introduced her to Mel.

"Well apparently he goes to our school." Devon said like his girlfriend didn't dump him or as a matter of fact that he had a girlfriend in the first place...Mel was starting to be more concern about Devon's love life then her own.

"Devon, did you like Sam?" She couldn't help but wonder, Mel always believed that you should be with someone that makes your heart beat.

"I did though? Hahaha." There it was. His signature laugh – er, chuckle if you could say. Mel wouldn't exactly called it an infectious smile, but he laughed without much smiling. Only the corner of his lips would move slightly upwards.

His confirmation about liking Sam felt more like a question than a definite answer.

Mel was going to help him find a girlfriend, once she found herself a boyfriend. Being an inexperience university student had a toll on her.

"Devon, how do you find love so easily?"

"Hm..." He seemed to try to think this through.

"I just do?"

Mel slammed her head against the table, "I'm seriously jealous of you! How can you find so many people to like!?...I haven't even like anyone properly."

Devon smiled at Mel, he through she was strange, sure. But, she sure was hilarious and peaked his interest.

"What was your first girlfriend like!?" Mel asked rather abruptly.

"My long time best friend?" He questioned.

Mel frowned, "I know, I know. You've dated your childhood friend, had a fake relationship turned real, fell for you best friend's little sister. You've basically experience all the holly wood romance, I'm jealous!!"

Devon noticed that there was food stuck on her hair and he took it off her hair while her head was still slammed to the table.

Cute.

She brusquely got up and slapped her face, "I can't give up now! I'll find love and then help you!!"

"You don't have to though, haha." He laughed lightly.

"Is Sam pursuing the high school boy or something?"

"Don't know, didn't ask further questions. Ah, though she might come to our club."

"Our love club?" Mel asked excitingly.

Devon couldn't help but be infected by her simple smile, she sure was funny.

Yes, Devon has joined the love club based on his interaction with Mel (although, he wanted to see the mastermind behind a club that's devoted to love.)

"Ohhh, that's going to be so fun, I'm going to our club room now! Do you think she's going to ask about her crush and find a way for them to get together?!"

Devon stood up as well, "I'll come with you."

"Are you sure? She...um... dumped you." Mel asked worryingly and rudely all in one.

"I have free time."

Mel smiled, "Awa, you sure have a lot of free time!"

He didn't.

Devon laughed, "Hm, I'll join you. I'll race you to the classroom."

He wanted to see Mel run, something about that made him curious.

"Race?"

He nodded, "let's run to the class room, it'll be fun."

Mel faces darkened, "I...I suck at running."

"Oh, really?"

"I'm really bad at racing." Her face seemed pale and Devon couldn't help but laugh internally at her personal struggle.

She grabbed the cuff of his shirt and looked down, "I beg you, anything but running!!!"

She really was a weirdo, he laughed out loud this time.

"Alright no racing, but I have free time Sunday, would you like to accompany me?"

Mel was surprised but she knew better to not think about it in another light, she already had a taste of that. She was smart to not jump into conclusion.

And although she wasn't aware of it at the moment, talking to Devon was...fun.

She smiled, "sure! As long as there's no racing involve."

Of course what the two didn't know was that although there was no running involve, their hearts would be racing anyways.

A/N:

Hi Hi!

This is a new story I'm planning on to write, I hope you guys will check it out soon. These two people will be the leads to the new story and there will be characters in my other book featured in it. It'll be great! Devon and Mel are really fun to write about because their relationship is different from what I'm used to writing about. There's another main couple in the story too, but you'll have to wait for them to appear! ^-^

I'm thinking the title would be called, "Love Advice Club."

Hope you guys are looking forward to this brand new story.

SUMMARY

"I want to experience love."

"I hate the idea of touching anyone."

"Aren't you taking love too seriously?"

"Don't take love as a joke."

What happens when you have four people in a room discussing about the 'oh-so-scandalous' topic of love? A havoc mess with a fist. Melanie wants to fall in love and she's doing everything in her power to meet her soul mate. Emma wants nothing to do with love, the idea of breaking your heart willingly never seemed appealing to her. Devon thinks loves a joke and looking at Melanie's constant struggles confirms his belief. Hiro saw his parents fall apart right in front of his eyes and even though he has grown distant of love, he knows to never take love lightly.

So how did these four meet? A club. A love club to be exact. The President? Melanie.

[Told in the perspective of Melanie and Emma]
