"Miss Katie wake up, wake up!"
Nurse Nancy sang, prancing into my room like a high antelope.
I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and propped myself up onto m elbows.
"What?"
Without warning she shoved something into my mouth and poured water in after it.
"What the heck?"
I choked out swallowing the water into my lungs. Doubling over the side of my bed i coughed, trying to ease the burning feeling in my lungs.
"Ohh, sorry sweetie"
Nancy patted my back in a lame attempt to help. After swatting her hand away I finally regained my breath and glared at her.
"What was that for?" I asked wiping the excess water from my face.
"Oh" the smile returned to her face and the woman started jumping up and down.
"you're going on a day out, so I thought I'd help you with your pill."
What????
I punched myself in the stomach, trying to heave it up. Terrified of what it might do to my system.
"Nancy!" I yelled at her while running out the door and down the hallway trying to find the nurses office.
Upon finding the door with the small Red Cross on it I bursted in.
"Sorry" I muttered to the startled nurse and broke into the large cabinets on the wall.
The lady jumped up and ran towards me, trying to stop whatever she thought I was doing.
I grabbed the hydrogen peroxide and a spoon from the drawer below.
"No! Don't take that!"
I poured the peroxide in the spoon anyways. Dumping the peroxide into my mouth I swallowed the putrid acid and ran over to the sink.
"WHAT DID YOU?"
I turned my head to see Nancy in the doorway.
"I-"
I was cut off by the bile that rose in my throat, I put my head in the sink and heaved every I'd ate in the last 24 hours.
I felt someone holding back my hair and putting it in a messy ponytail.
The room was suddenly filled with a lot more noise, more than the nurse, Nancy, and I that's for sure.
When I finished emptying my stomach Nancy handed me a towel to clean my mouth and guiding me hurriedly out of the room and to the front doors of the building.
We got outside to an awaiting ambulance.
Wait ambulance?
Why in the world would you keep an ambulance here? Well, that's actually a good idea, for injuries and things like that but why are they taking me?
A nurse pushed me down onto the gurney and strapped me in despite my kicking and flailing.
The door to the ambulance slammed shut and I once again failed to burst out of the restraints.
"Wait!" A something hit the back door of the vehicle making both the nurse and I to both jump in surprise.
"Wait let me in!" The voice shouted and once again hit the metal doors.
The nurse quickly pulled the doors open and the person fell in.
Jax hopped up at the foot of the bed, his eyes were large and wild, his face was pale. Seeing me he sighed and sagged against the wall of the now moving ambulance.
