Two worlds

Stepping over the sleeping goblins that were nestled at the end of Tobys bed...jareth peered in on the sleeping boy...his blonde hair splayed out slightly wildly around his peaceful face..the goblin king gently pulled his covers up to keep him warm from the chill of the early hours..how nice to be a child he thought ..not a worry in the world as he slept soundly..he hoped sarah was too asleep and not dwelling on the last few days of immense upheaval in her young life.....shutting the door quietly he leaned against the cool wall...closing his eyes he grabbed a few minutes with his own thoughts.

His sarah..his stubborn,brave,beautiful human girl that beat his labyrinth..and his heart...which to be fair was near on impossible...faes May only pair once...if lucky twice in their elongated life span...and a human?!?! He shook his head at the irony..the very people he despised for selfishly wishing their children to him...could she really be part of the evil that had caused his family so much sorrow and despair ....by helping her an bringing her here...in the hope of mending both their fragile hearts...had unleashed the fury of this evil darkness of Nastarte..

Footsteps shook him from his troubles...Rossa was stood looking at him...her eyes full of sympathy as she placed a hand on his arm..
"Jareth...you need some rest..you are of no help to anyone in the state you appear now"her soft tones attempting to pacify him..one look at him showed her all she needed to know,Odin had told her what had happened in the days they had been away..he had promptly fell asleep in their quarters...leaving Rossa to hunt out a worn out and evidently stressed king...she took his arm to lead him to his room...
"Sarah...I must check her..has she been ok ?"He asked ,stopping abruptly..
"Jareth..let her sleep..she is fine,she has been kept busy with old friends visiting..a few more hours will not hurt either of you" came her subtle warning...taking his arm again she led him to his room,Jareth attempted a smile.before closing the door and lying down ,staring out the window watching the sun come up as slowly a troubled sleep came over him.
