Bakugou x y/n - UA Highschool First Year

My Real Self

HELLO MY AVOCADOS!!! I'm back!!! I completely forgot about Wattpad and I think I deleted it off my phone for storage purposes, but I'm back now!

     Bakugou stares at you in shock. "You don't care? Even though you almost died?" You look at him, saying quietly, "It doesn't matter Bakugou..." He jumps up. "Y/n!!! You can't say that!!! Why would you not care???!!"

     You look away. "Because I'm a nuisance, a waste of space and oxygen."

Bakugou looks at you in horror. "What...?" he said quietly, softer than you've ever heard before. "Y/N I.... You can't say that about yourself, because the truth is... you're not. If you tell anyone I said this, I'll kill you myself... but... you're the only person I feel like I can be myself around. My real self. I don't know why, but I feel like..."

He thinks for a second, before gently grabbing your chin and turning your head to see him better. He looks straight into your eyes and says, "Y/N I... I like you. I don't know why or how it happened, but it's true."

You freeze, cheeks turning red. Did he really mean that? But he was Katsuki Bakugou. He didn't feel like that for anybody... You look back into his eyes in shock, searching for any sign of deceit. But no, all you find is complete sincerity. "I know you can't forgive me for how I treated your brother, but I want to change. For you."

Your eyes widen in surprise. After a few seconds you smile softly, teasing. "Who are you, and what did you do with Katsuki?" you say quietly. Bakugou's own eyes widen as you call him by his first name. He also smiles softly, blushing slightly. Woah, he looks so cute... you think to yourself.

Suddenly, Izuku walks in and freezes at the sight. Bakugou quickly lets go of your chin and glares at Izuku as he gets up and starts walking away, but remembers what he had just said to you and regrets it. He leaves anyway.

Izuku looks at you in shock and horror before rushing over. "Y/N! Did he do anything to you?! Are you injured?! Why is your face so red?! Are you-?!" Suddenly he freezes mid-sentence, his voice a little quieter now. "Is he the crush you mentioned...?" You blush even more.

You explain everything to Deku, about what Katsuki had said and acted. He's shocked to hear all this, both skeptical and hopeful.

"Okay, but if he ever does anything to you-"

"I know, I know. I'll let you know."

Izuku looks pleased to hear this, but you can tell he's still worried. Probably for the best though. Not everyone that claims to want to change ends up doing that. Even so, you decide that maybe you can try trusting him a little more...

You get up for school. Today you have to walk with Katsuki and Izuku. You remember what Katsuki had said to you the day before and you begin to blush again.

     Eventually, you walk out the door with Katsuki and your brother Izuku, you in between them.

     Katsuki notices how much shorter you are. He would never tell anyone this, but he feels a little protective of you. He knows you can handle yourself, but still...

     Soon you arrive at school and enter your classroom. You, like always, sit in front of Katsuki, thinking about him. You try to focus on class, but his confession the day before is seriously distracting. Eventually, you are able to focus again though.

     Later you go up the roof to work on some of the math. Katsuki, of course, follows behind and sits next to you, a little closer than usual. You both work on the math and Katsuki helps with the difficult concepts.

     After a while you begin to feel tired, nodding off. Katsuki doesn't notice until he feels the weight of your head on his shoulder. He stiffens at the contact, genuinely shocked, but he blushes and relaxes again, shifting slightly to make sure you're comfortable.

     He watches as you sleep peacefully on his shoulder, blushing. He notices how cute you look, just like the day you were lying down asleep on the concrete to take a nap. But this time... this time you were asleep on his shoulder. He smiles softly and looks at your math again, adding a few to the side. You'd need them later.

     After a few minutes the bell rings, indicating that lunch had ended. Katsuki wakes you up, tapping your shoulder gently. You stir and your eyes flutter open. He picks up your things and stands up, extending his hand towards you to help you up. You accept his offer and take his hand, your own hand smaller and softer than his larger, rougher one. You both blush at this, and once you stand up, he lets go, clearly embarrassed of himself, though a little happy.

     As you head to class together, you both notice a few people looking in shock, but Katsuki glares at each of them and they look away.

Hello my Avocados!! I hope you enjoyed this! I'm REALLY REALLY sorry for not posting in a literal YEAR but I'm going to try to post more! I love each of you guys so much! Never forget that you're worth so much, even if it feels the opposite. See you next chapter!!
