Robbie Kay

It was supposed to be a nice night for you and Robbie. Since it was your second year anniversary coming up, he had planned to do things the whole week to make it special for you. And it was completely special to you.

However, the third day in, was when it happened. You both had just enjoyed a nice tea at your favourite restaurant, and you were on the way home listening to Robbie crack jokes or talk about silly things from his childhood. You always loved listening to him go on about things like that.

You can't remember exactly what happened, but you do know it ruined Robbie's life. All you can remember when you think about that night, are big flashing lights and the loud screaming of the car horns. The rest is a complete blur, you didn't pass out or anything but you had to stay over night at the hospital 'just in case'. All night you were completely worried about Robbie, they wouldn't let you go find him.

Luckily for you, you made it out with bruises and a few cuts. Robbie wasn't as lucky though.

The morning after, they let you check yourself out and finally go find Robbie. After finding him, you stayed with him all day and night until his eyes fluttered open on the day before your anniversary. It was a happy moment for you, until Robbie started shouting and freaking out.

He had lost his eyesight.

Today, after a couple weeks in the hospital, you finally get to bring him home.

You pull up outside your house after a long and silent car ride, taking a quick glance at Robbie. He hasn't said anything for a while, and you know it's going to take a while for him to get used to it but you can't help but miss his old self.

"Robbie, we're here." You say softly, shoving the car keys in your pocket and exiting the car.

You quickly make your way around to him and help him out, guiding him to the front door. He doesn't hesitate or say anything, or even acknowledge you for that matter. He just lets you get on with it.

"Do you want sit in the front room?" You ask after finally getting inside.

"I want to go to bed," he mumbles, putting out his other arm to also help guide him.

You keep a grip on his arm as you guide him upstairs and into your shared bedroom, not wanting him to trip and end up getting mad at himself. Fortunately, he gets there perfectly fine and you sit him on the bed.

"Do you want a new pair of joggers?"

"No," he simply says.

He pulls off his top and kicks off his shoes, so he's left in only jogging bottoms and some socks to keep his feet warm. He pats around for the top of the cover and pulls it back, wrapping himself up and leaving you stood feeling helpless.

"Do you want anything?" You ask quietly, but he just turns away from you and stays silent.

You want to cry or scream, or cry and scream at the same time. Just something to get the anger and sadness out of your system, but you know you have to stay strong for Robbie. He needs you more than ever right now and he might be a little distant at the moment, but he'll pull round soon enough.

You leave him alone and decide to make him his favourite cookies that you make for him sometimes. They always cheer him up.

It doesn't take long for you to finish them up and you place them all on a plate, carrying them up to your bedroom. You knock softly before entering and your heart breaks at the sight of your boyfriend.

Quiet sobs are leaving his body and he's sat up with his knees pulled to his chest. His face has reddened and his body's trembling slightly, making you quickly rush over and place the plate on the bed side table.

"Baby, no. What's wrong?" You say, cupping his cheeks and making him face up at you.

He blinks rapidly, making more tears fall and his eyes move around as if they're trying to find you. You look sadly into his glossy and grey eyes, missing his beautiful green orbs. Your chest feels heavy and you want to cry yourself, making a lump form in your throat.

"What's wrong Robbie?"

"I-I can't see y-you anymore, I c-can't look into you ey-eyes ever again," he sobs and you wipe away his tears as your heart breaks a little more. He starts to stop crying and gets more angry than anything. "If we get married, I can't turn around and see you in your dress or look at how beautiful you are. How lucky I am to be spending the rest of my life with you."

"Robbie-"

"If we have children, I won't be able to look at them and see how adorable they are because they have your features. I won't see anything that I truly care about."  He ends quietly and his voice cracks a little.

"You can't give up, Robbie. The doctors say they might find a way to help you, to get your sight back. Just have hope, and I-" you hesitate for a moment. "I will help you see for the time being."

His eyebrows furrow, "Y-You'll help me see?"

"Mhm," you take his hand in yours and guide it to your face. You smile and trace his fingers along your bottom lip, he smiles and chuckles softly.

"I love you, (Y/N)" he tells you and cups your cheek.

"I love you too," you grin and place a small kiss on his lips.

// sorry I haven't updated in so long omfg I've missed you all //

okay, guys, I have a question...

is it weird for me and my best friend to hold hands???

like walking down the street with our fingers intertwined, but it was cold and dark so she wanted me to hold her hand bc they were cold

or like we'll lay down on beds and cuddle really close, as if we're girlfriends. Like basically on top of each other lol

but we definitely don't have feelings for each other or anything like that

like, I just wanted to know if it's weird or not??

also, thank you so much for 23k, 600 votes and 167(?) comments

it honestly means so much to me, I never thought one of my books would get this far

oh, and if you're a Luke Hemmings fan you should read my newish book 'Sophia'
