As if in turmoil pain, Izaya kept twisting about and screaming his tiny head off. The nightmare must be a bad one! Hibira and Toya ran beside the bed and tried to calm the boy down, but it was fruitless.
The little boy bawled, "let me go! Please, leave me alone!!!" and thrashed around as if he was trying to escape from a monster.
Then his thrashing got worse as he started bawling and screaming louder. Toya and Hibira wanted to go over there, but they were afraid Izaya might get a shock, then they mustered the courage and tried to
help wake him up, it was useless though!Shizuo stood frozen there. He had no idea of what to do or what to say. He had never seen Izaya like this, kicking and crying hysterically.
Toya sighed in anxiety and muttered to a volume where Shizuo wouldn't hear, "That's because he's a child, Shizuo....and children are more open to their feelings than adults are."
It was a good thing nobody heard him, well, nobody but Hibira and Kasuka who heard, understanding what he meant as Shizuo very hesitantly went over to the bed to try to help Toya and Hibira calm him down.
Suddenly, Izaya's eyes snapped open. He looked around, panting heavily to see his friends looking scared and worried, even Shizuo was one of them.
He felt bad for making them worry, but then he started to think about that awful dream again! His fear came back full-force.
His tears had increased in numbers and he began to screaming loudly, shielding his face with his arms. No one moved.
Then when someone did move, it was Kasuka who surprisingly had launched to the bed and, with a gentle touch, reached out and wrapped the boy in his arms, held him close as the boy huddled against him for comfort.
Toya and Hibira seemed happy that to know that the stoic Kasuka had willingly volunteered to comfort the boy, Shizuo once again found himself frozen when he saw the tears.
Hibira was sensing all the raging emotions that were in the room, it was overwhelming! There were different emotions; hurt, anger, fright, and pain, there was a particular emotion however that stood out from the rest and it was coming from Shizuo.
The blond himself felt strange because the emotion he was feeling was unknown. It was between anger and hurt, it was towards the others, but what was it and where is it coming from?
His thoughts had disappeared as he saw Izaya grip Kasuka's shirt, tightly as he was crying uncontrollably.
"Shh....it's going to be fine..it was only a bad dream, it wasn't real...don't cry." Kasuka whispered soothingly as he rubbed Izaya's tiny back, stroking his soft hair as he continued to cry, whispering gently to him that everything was going to okay, but it only made Izaya feel worse.
"Ahh-hah...! Aah...! Waah! It...it was so scary....!! T...th....tha...m-monster...waaaaaaah!!!!" Izaya bawled as he buried himself deeper in Kasuka's chest as he was soaking his shirt with his tears, gripping his shirt as said man tried comfort him as best as he could, rocking him gently, making Kasuka wonder what he had dreamt.
If it made him cry like this, then it must have been an awful nightmare. If fact, they all were wondering what he had dreamt about. They all turned to Toya for answers. "Toya, what do ya think?" Hibira asked his friend.
Toya blinked at them, then he carefully listen what Izaya was thinking about. However, instead of him just hearing Izaya thoughts, he gasped in shock as he saw them and what the dream was all about! They were vivid, most of all, shocking!
Then they saw that Toya appeared to be shocked, then became horrified.
He was so distraught at what he saw that the poor guy fainted with a loud thud.
