(Leonardo's POV)

"Stop!" Master Splinter yelled. "Do not attack, we cannot give ourselves away! Just help the people to the exit, quickly!" He ordered us.

We did as we were told.

I was focusing on ushering a mother with her newborn child out to safety, when I heard a surprised gasp from Mikey.

"Whoa dudes, this chick is for real!" Mikey sounded surprised, so I turned back to see the same girl in the doorway, not only alive, but kicking some serious foot butt!

I watched in awe as a foot bot advanced on her, its kamas raised to attack. It swung both of them down at her, and she easily feinted to the side avoiding the blades.

She then swiftly brought her katanas down on the now off-balance foot bot, slicing it in half.

Two more sprinted at her, one after the other. She flipped over the back of the first bot, putting herself in between the two ninjas.

As her feet touched the ground, she launched herself at the second bot, stabbing one of her katanas through its chest. It crumbled to the ground.

She ducked under the first bot's advance and kicked her leg out. It staggered, but didn't fall. She ran at it and flipped herself around the bot's shoulder, bringing it down on the ground, hard.

She then sliced its head off while letting out a piercing battle cry.

All of the bots were down. I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Leo! Come on!"

All of my brothers hollered at me from outside of the building. I was the only one left inside, and didn't realize I was staring at this girl in a trance-like state.

I rushed outside and stood with my brothers. Just then we heard the small 'click' of a grenade pin being pulled out.

The civilians had already left, and it was just my brothers, master and I. We all took multiple steps back, wearing worried expressions. Just then the building exploded.

We were all knocked back onto the pavement by a great force, and I could feel an intense heat on my face.

At that moment it started to thunderstorm, and I squinted my eyes against the rain trying to find the intriguing girl.

I could see the dark outline of her body against the bright blaze of the church flames. It looked like her back was to us.

"Don't let her get away! She could be dangerous!" Raph yelled.

I tried to get up to stop her, but I couldn't bring myself to stop staring at her for even one second. It was like I was frozen in a trance.

My brain was screaming at my feet to move, but my body wouldn't obey.

"Leo! Come on!" Donnie, who almost never raised his voice, was even impatient with me now.

Just then, a flash of lightning illuminated the sky. The girl was just standing there, but it looked like. . . wings? They were unfolding from her back!

The scene in front of me was both horrible and beautiful at the same time.

"What the shell?!?" Raph and Mikey exclaimed in unison.

Just then, she turned and looked directly at me, smiled darkly, and launched herself off of the ground and into the night sky.

And with that, she was gone from my sight.
