Chapter 10

HARUKA POV

After Hayoung left, slamming the door as she went out the door... like seriously she's going to break that door one day... I finished applying my makeup and waited for Jungkook to come pick me up. I was just scrolling through Instagram as I waited, looking through the official instagram page for BigHit. Hmmm they're thinking of forming a new boy group?? Wonder who's going to be in it. My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of knocking. Immediately looking up from my phone I got off my bed with a grin. "COMING!!!" I quickly looked at myself in the mirror once more before I left the dorm and after seeing that everything was good I opened the door, revealing a smiley Jungkook, hands in pocket, rocking back and forth on his toes. "Hey Haruka." My heart did a little jump as he called my name and I took a deep breath. "Hi Kookie!"

Jungkook smiled "Let's get going?"

I nodded. "Yeah let's."

Jungkook and I walked down outside hallways between the five academies towards the city where most of the shops and restaurants were located. This was the first time Jungkook and I had gone off campus together and I was loving every second of it. I walked close to him just so our arms were a finger width apart. My head only reached just past his shoulders and as a result, I found myself constantly looking up at him only to see his smiling face looking back down at me.

"So what's the occasion?" I asked as we arrived at a cute little cafe on the street. Going off campus was not the norm since there was everything one could possibly need on one of the five beautiful campuses.

"I'll tell you when we get inside and sit down" He said as he pulled me along towards an empty table.

We ordered some coffee and a small tart to share since we were still full from dinner. Chatting about the random and small things in life with Jungkook was one of the things I loved about him. Anything goes in a conversation, from yelling, laughing, crying and teasing. I was able to sit and let the thoughts flow. Suddenly, he broke the conversation.

"So... Haruka, I have some pretty big news" Jungkook's face had turned serious and there was a long pause. Is something wrong? Oh no I hope nothing terrible happened. AGH say something Kookie!!!

"I'm going to debut. Big Hit is putting me in their newest boy group called Bangtan Sonyeondan."

"OMG KOOKIE THATS AMAZING YOU'LL GET TO FINALLY ACHIEVE YOUR DREAM!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!" I exploded with overwhelming pride and happiness for him. He had been working tirelessly for months trying to catch the eye of the managers. I bounced up and down in my seat and flailed my arms around wildly. I stopped when I saw that he was not as happy as I was. "Kookie... Is there something wrong?"

"Haru... I'm leaving."

His words struck me like an arrow. Leaving.

"Well I mean of course you'll have to leave, you're DEBUTING but I mean I'll still see you all the time when you're training and all that and-"

"Haru. I don't think you understand. I'm not staying at Big Hit Academy for debut training. They're taking us all out of school and putting us into a more professional setting at the company so we can focus on our teamwork and really prepare for debut."

I was speechless. Leaving the academy? I tried to keep myself together but I could feel myself slipping. I knew that he was trying to say. He's going to leave me. He's going to break up with me. I was being left behind again-thrown away- for a better opportunity. Am I ever going to be the prefered option? How could this happen... Again.

Instead of showing the hurt and torrents of pain, I decided that I was not going to look weak or show any signs of being a sad left behind girlfriend. No. I was going to be strong and supportive no matter what I felt on the inside.
