Chapter One

"Dino-ya!" Mari hissed quietly but loud enough to be heard in the dark silent night.

"Are you sure it's allowed to enter this place?" Heejo asked instead of her older friend.

"Ne ne I'm sure, kajja" He ushered them and continued to walk up the emergency stairs of an abandoned building that has been closed for over five years.

The two girls glanced at each other worriedly but complied and continued to follow their best friend.

Dino had never meant to disturb his two best friends but he couldn't wait to show them what he found right after he returned from his two year debut with his fellow group members, Seventeen.

He felt really bad for not contacting them more in the normal days and holidays because of his strict schedule and practices with his hyungs. He would find some time to open his phone but it would be enough to send each of them a short text message and move on with his busy life. Even if they understood and continued to support him since day one, he couldn't help but feel that he's been a bad and departed friend to them.

He finally saw the door that he willed to show them what's on the other side. He opened the door and they were met by the nice nightly breeze.

Dino stepped through the door into the rooftop with the girls behind him as they wondered around curiously.

Mari knitted her brows. There wasn't anything special on the roof, just old willed plants on the small deserted garden beside the entrance and a wide empty space. She once glanced again at Heejo, who was entirely more confused than her and looked at their male friend.

"Where's this thing that you wanted to show us, Dino-ya?"

"Ne, I don't see anything in here, oppa," Heejo said as she looked around, tiredly.

"That's because you're looking at the wrong way," He said.

The girls got more confused as he raised his finger and pointed at the front direction. They followed his finger and their gazes stopped at the most breathtaking view.

Mari and Heejo slowly walked towards the wired tall fences as they kept their gazes on the beautiful view before them. Dino made his way beside Heejo with a satisfied look on his face when he saw the expression that he imagined that his two friends would make.

"It's so beautiful..." Heejo said breathlessly.

"Really beautiful," Mari said afterward.

Mari was breath taken by the beauty of it, the wonderful and colorful lights of Seoul as they lit up in the black night. Like an art from a famous painting, they were marvelous in her eyes.

She smiled widely at the view and turned to look at her younger friend when her eyes stopped at another beautiful view.

Her heart melted as she watched Dino stare at Heejo in admiration and awe while she still admired the lights. Mari knew that Dino was in love with Heejo ever since they met three years ago. The two were in the same dance class and got paired for a dance piece which got them know one another. It was also a surprise when they found out that the two of them frequent the same school and are in the same age.

Heejo introduced him to Mari and ever since then, they all became close friends as if they knew each other from before.

But Mari could also see those loving eyes whenever he looked at Heejo, the smiles of awe that he puts whenever she talks or laughs, the admirable look whenever she dances and sings and reads a book and the cute blushes whenever he watched her dance with passion and sexiness.

It was all cute and beautiful, who would really think of it as something disgusting when you see it on TV and read through books? She never got tired of watching the young guy do those simply adorable actions to the other young girl, although she sometimes wished that the young male would tell his feelings to her so Heejo would deny the thought of not being 'the girl who's not enough for him'.

Mari also wished of having that kind of guy that would secretly watch her from afar and think of things to say or do to get her attention, she would admit that she's jealous of her best friend Heejo but she also wished that Heejo would have a happy life with someone she loves.

Mari tried not to giggle at the sweet view in front of her as Dino kept his gaze at Heejo. His cheeks had a faint tint of pink but were still noticeable under the one light from the street lamp, he smiled widely when she turned to him and gave him a wide grin then turned back to watch the view.

As if he could sense that someone was watching him, he lifted his eyes to meet his noona's stare, a smirk formed on her lips as her brow arched teasingly at him.

He blushed and moved his gaze away from her than towards the colorful view. She giggled silently at Dino's embarrassment and turned back to the breathtaking view.
