I arrived to English, feeling rather happy, once in a long time. I finally made a friend! But, nothing's ever this easy for me. This is weird, as if a goddess was guiding me or something.

Yup, I definitely got a disorder in my front lobe.

I chose a seat in the front, and I heard my classmates whispering behind my back about what happened to me with tutu girl and Josh, and how Percy stood up for me. Well, there's no point listening to them, I already knew thoroughly enough about the event. I saw Percy walk into the classroom, and saying bye to his friend, Grover. He took a seat next to me, and smiled.

"First years, let me just tell you, I am so excited about having you as my students!" Mr. Blofis welcomed.

"And I am so not excited about having you as a teacher!" the tutu girl muttered behind. Mr. Blofis glared at the tutu girl, and she shrunk back into her seat, scared.

"As I was saying," Mr. Blofis said, annoyed, "That I am thrilled as having you as my students! I am sure you all will love Gateway Elementary, soon enough. Our first English project will be about greek literature. Who can tell me a famous Greek tale?"

My hand automatically shot up. I loosened up - I didn't want to seem like a total teacher's pet.

"Yes, Annabeth?" Mr. Blofis, grinning.

"Odysseus," I said, and everyone was whispering was asking each other what it was.

"What's Odysseus, Mr. Blofis?" asked the guy with the big, round glasses.

"Who, Redmond, he's a who. I'm sure another student can tell us what it is?" Mr. Blofis replied, squinting at each and every student. Nobody raised their hand up, and all of us sat still.

"No one? Well then, Odyss-"

"I do, Mr. Blowfish," Percy said, timidly.

"It's Blofis, Percy. And you do? Why don't you tell us about the story of Odysseus?" Mr. Blofis asked, surprised that Percy knew of such a tale.

"Well, my mom really likes Greek tales, she says it reminds me of her long lost husband," Percy said, "Odysseus was a really smart guy who fought in the Trojan War, and gave the Greek Army the idea to build the Trojan Horse. The Trojan Horse was made to look like a gift for the land of Troy. But the best warriors would hide in the horse, and in the right time, they would rush out and kill everyone. The idea worked. Then Odysseus and his men landed on the city of Cicones, and they attacked and sacked the city, which angered the Zeus guy -"

There was a loud boom of lighting and it started to rain. Wow, what a coincidence.

"The Zeus guy got really angry, and he made a storm and swept them off to different islands, and my favourite one is the one about the Cyclops. So, Odysseus and his men camped in a cave on the Cyclops island, and then the cyclops and his sheep came, and he ate two of his men,"

"Yikes!" screamed a girl with a purple headband. I noticed that the Asian kid next to her timidly comforted her, and was taking notes on his little panda notepad. I saw that the rest of the class were either checking their nails, making paper airplanes, or picking their noses. What a class.

"So the next day, Odysseus made a plan, and he called himself Nobody. That day, the Cyclops was dizzy, so it was easier for Odysseus to trick him. They attacked the Cyclops, and when the Cyclops asked who he was, Odysseus said that he was Nobody. So when the Cyclops called for his brothers help, he told them that Nobody was attacking him, which means that his brothers didn't think he was in danger, 'cause he said nobody was attacking him. The End."

I was shocked. Percy knew a lot about Greek mythology. Everyone just stared at Percy, with their mouths wide open, especially Mr. Blofis. He seemed to be taking notes of what Percy was saying, which was hard for him, because he was talking super fast. Mr. Blofis dropped his pen on the floor and just kept staring at Percy.

I high fived Percy, and he laughed and high fived me back. Mr. Blofis got back to his senses, and picked up his pen. The girl with a purple headband finally broke the silence, and said, "Wow,"

Everyone started talking and arguing, complaining that Percy didn't make sense. I was so annoyed. Maybe it's because they weren't listening? Maybe they were to busy picking their noses, and even worse, studying the colour of their boogies?

"Zip it, guys!" I shouted, before I could shut myself up, "Percy explained clearly enough for you lot to understand, but you didn't, 'cause you were too busy picking your noses and minding your own business! You should follow what the girl with the purple headband and the guy with a buzz cut is doing, which is, actually listening!?"

The girl with the purple headband smiled shyly, and said, "I'm actually called Hazel,"

"And I'm Frank," said the Asian kid with a buzz cut.

Percy looked surprised, but he did something I didn't expect. He hugged me. Aw, wait no. Ew! A boy hugged me!?

"Thanks Annabeth," Percy said.

I relaxed, and I said, "We're friends, right?"

Mr. Blofis seemed like he wanted to spill out tears of joy, but he continued, "Well done, well done, Percy! I am very, very impressed! You should study Greek Mythology when you grow up,"

"Actually, I want to be a Marine Biologist when I grow up." Percy said blankly.

"Moving on!" Mr. Blofis said, apparently not hearing what Percy just said, "Our project is to make a presentation with a partner, about something that interests you in Greek mythology. I can see that Annabeth and Percy would become immediate partners,"

Mr. Blofis winked at us. I blushed, and Percy shuffled a bit. The bell finally rang, and Percy and I packed up our bags, ready to go home. Percy ran up to his mom, and I saw him talking quickly about what happened today. I saw him point at me, and I waved a little to his mom, which smile warmly at me. I saw Percy ask his mom something, and she nodded approvingly.

Percy sprinted up to me excitedly, and asked, "Hey, wanna come to my house today with Grover?"

I was stunned, but that time, I didn't ask why, because I already knew the reason. I beamed at him, and said,"Sure! Let's go!"

We walked out of the gates of Gateway Elementary. I greeted Ms. Jackson, who is Percy's mom. She told me to just call her Sally, and gave me a blue cookie to nibble on, which was surpsingly good. She held my hand safely, and with her other hand, she held Percy's. I wish my mum was like this. But it didn't matter now, because I finally knew the meaning of fun, thanks to Percy.
