Next day, we were in the classroom talking about the kidnapping, it was all over school, and for the first time, no one dared to fight with Huntress. A good thing too as I can see that she was in no mod to take any crap. She may look like she’d be sick, but I can feel that she’s angry. I glanced at my cousin and caught him watching Huntress. She had her hand balled into a fist, like she’d go ninja any moment.

“The ones they caught were escorted out of the island.” I heard Tathiannah say, Romeo Lee turns to her and listened.

“So it was inside job.” Lei was assessing the whole thing, this was a whole different side of her. In fact, looking at them, they were all in some sort of new character. And the students were smart enough to move away for their own good and safety. “And to think that they’ve worked here for years, where’s the loyalty?”

“And to think that it was not just us they were targeting but also Lisa Chan.” I said, earlier today the guards from the university department also had an encounter with the kidnappers trying to kidnap one of the brightest minds in NSA. “She’s one of the highly guarded students in NSA, she’s an asset to the academy, and not to mention she’s paranoid with security.”

After all, she is the mind behind the high maintenance security of NSA.

“Why is that?” Lei asked. “I know she’s smart, but so is everyone else in the university dormitory she was staying in.”

“She’s part of the Academy’s thinking team.” Romeo Lee says.

“She had invented several gadgets that is under the name of the Academy, in exchange of her safety.” I said, “In fact, she created the security machine that was broken during the attack on Huntress a couple of weeks ago. How they broken into it is still being assessed by her, but she had started repairing it and tweaked a few things in it to make it unbreakable.”

Tathiannah and Lei gave us a look.

“How do you these?” Tathiannah asked.

Romeo Lee looked away, “The chairwoman had asked us to guard students several times when they work on something for the Academy. And I must say, it was a good thing that SDU was able to respond to their stress call last night, or else her abduction could mean great trouble for the Academy.”

“But they weren’t there for ours.” We all turned to Huntress; it was the first time she spoke the whole day. That was saying a lot as the morning class was about to end.

“Huntress…” Tathiannah cooed.

“That’s it isn’t it?” Huntress says, looking at Romeo Lee.

“That’s what?” I asked.

“Their motive to take her is to weaken the Academy’s security.” She points out. “They’re stopping her from fixing security, worse is to upgrade the system. That’s also why they were here for a long time; they worked breaking into the security by hacking inside the Academy. If Lisa Chan succeeds then all they have worked hard for would go to waste.”

“Huntress is right.” Lei nod; “Think about it, with the security down, it’ll be easier for people to come and go as they please.”

“So, we can also assume that the kidnappers came inside.” I asked, “But what if they have found a weak point on the security and that’s where they have been entering.”
“And getting the helicopter in without passing the air patrol? That’s sort of impossible, isn’t it?” Tathiannah adds. “The assumption is some are inside job and some aren’t, we’re still in square one.”

We all shrugged, while Huntress turned and looked out the window.

“What had the security found out so far?” I asked. I knew the Student Council was investigating it as well.
