Stan was sitting quietly as Ford was frantically scanning the journal for any information he could find, right back to square 1. He was trying to not be distracting, for the obvious reason of not wanting to be yelled at by Ford again, but he couldn't help being confused. "So wait, let me get this straight. So, Dipper has known this triangle guy...for a while, and has been constantly fighting him? And the...triangle guy got mad abt this and then somehow POSSESSED him? And...you think Dipper wrote more info in your spooky dork book?" Ford glanced up annoyed. "It's not a spooky dork book, it's a scientific journal of fascinating anomalies and research. But yes, the rest of that statement was accurate." Stan rolled his eyes. "Do you always have to talk so...sciencey? It just makes you sound even nerdier than you already do." Ford kept his eyes on the journal. "It's not speaking sciencey, it's called speaking intelligently. And yes, it has become a habit at this point." Stan scoffed. "Same thing."
He was expecting Ford to look at him again or something, to acknowledge his previous statement. He was NOT expecting Ford to suddenly show frustration and slam his fists onto the table. "Whoa, whoa there Sixer, take it easy! What's wrong?" Ford's frustration continued on for a moment, but then he sighed. "I...I know there's information in here! I'm sure of it! But...I've checked all the pages 4 different times, and I can't find anything else about the Sock Opera experience! It's like, the information doesn't want me to find it!" Ford looked down at the floor, an expression resembling defeat in his face. Stan paused to think. "...Maybe...it doesn't." Ford stopped and looked up at Stan confused. "Huh? What are you-" Stan cut him off. "Dipper is a lot like you right? Then it all makes sense now..." Ford raised an eyebrow, still confused. "Stanley, I'm still not following." Stan looked at Ford, kinda eagerly. "Ford, imagine that you were in Dipper's place. Imagine being traumatized by Bill. Would you leave that information where anyone could find and read it?"
Ford flinched. He knew Stan was only using it as a hypothetical scenario, but he was indeed traumatized by Bill as well. However, after taking a moment to process the rest of the question, he looked at Stanley in shock. His twin was right. "Stan...that's brilliant!" Stan looked at him confused. "Really?" Ford nodded. "Yes really! It's so obvious now! Why would the most important information be in plain sight for anyone to see!" Stan stared at Ford for a moment. "So...you're saying I helped?" Ford nodded. "Yes Stanley, you definitely helped!" Stan paused. "Could I...do it again?" Ford smiled. "Do you know where the blacklight is?" Stan smiled, went to go find the object, and then came back holding the blacklight that he found with Ford's things. Ford grinned and then shined its light onto the page with the "Bipper" drawing.
At first, nothing seemed to happen. But then, something started to become visible. There were very tiny, very hard to read letters at the bottom left of the page. Ford quickly wrote them down and began deciphering them. Stan watched curiously. "What does it say?" Ford looked at Stan, super confused. "Disco girl? That can't be right." Stan chuckled. "Oh, that's right alright. C'mon, I'll show you." And as Stan led Ford off to be a new witness of Dipper's embarrassing stack of CD's, the brothers couldn't help but feel like the experience brought them closer somehow.
Mabel looked at the list of good deeds she had accomplished. "Boom! A thousand good deeds. When that unicorn scans my heart, she's gonna say I'm absolutely, one hundred percent, bonafide-
The Unicorn looked down at the child. "NOT pure of heart!" Mabel grinned. "Booyah! Wait, what?!" She looked upset and scared. Wendy wasn't having it. "How is that even possible? Mabel's a straight up saint, you judgmental hoofbag!" Mabel fell down on her knees in front of the magical creature "Please, tell me what I'm doing wrong!" Celestabelabethabelle sighed. "Doing good deeds just to make yourself look better isn't good at all. Not to mention you're crushing, like, ten dandelions right now. Those are basically children's dreams." Mabel looked down where she was sitting and realized that the unicorn was right.
