Welcome to Paranormal Debate of the Week! A weekly community challenge created for paranormal enthusiasts to explore mysteries, exchange theories, and engage in thoughtful discussions about the unknown. Whether you are a believer or a sceptic, this is a space to share your perspective.
How the Challenge Works
1. Find the Paranormal Debate of the Week on the message board, posted every Tuesday.
2. Reply directly to the post with your response before the following Tuesday.
3. Use as much creativity and evidence as you want! Be original and avoid a simple "yes" or "no". Share your thoughts, theories, evidence, personal experiences, or explanations related to the debate question.
4. You may submit only one entry. Your entry must be a meaningful contribution.
5. Respectfully engage with other participants and contribute to the discussion.
Your reply can include:
• A short story inspired by the debate • A theory or explanation • Your own interpretation of the topic • Or any other original response connected to the weekly debate
Only submissions made as replies to the official Debate of the Week post will be counted for participation points and judging.
Points & Recognition
Every contribution helps you earn recognition within the challenge.
All participants earn 2 points for participating in each weekly discussion and gain additional points based on their score on the judging rubric below.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be judged using the following criteria:
Creativity (5 points) How imaginative and engaging is the interpretation?
Originality (5 points) Does the entry bring a fresh perspective or unique idea?
Relevance (5 points) How well does the entry answer and connect with the prompt?
Overall Quality (5 points) How well-presented, detailed, and enjoyable is the contribution?
The maximum judging score is 20 points, with the 2 participation points added separately.
Weekly Winners
At the end of each week, a winner will be announced based on their score.
The participant with the highest score will be recognised as the weekly winner for their outstanding contribution and will receive a profile shout-out spotlight.
Monthly Winners
At the end of each month, total points will be reviewed and a monthly winner will be announced. Winners will receive special recognition within the Paranormal community, which may include:
• Featured recognition on the Creature of the Week challenge page • Winner spotlight interview of their story • Community recognition • Special graphics or aesthetic rewards announced by the team
