I woke up with a sudden urge to go hang at the mall. I called my friends, they either didn't answere or was too busy to do anything. So I went alone. I get dressed, grabbed my keys, and headed for the door. Before I got to it, the home phone started ringing.
"Hello." I answered all calmly really not in the mood to talk.
"Hey, please can we just talk about what happened-" I hung up the phone cutting him off. I was not in the mood to listen to all his bullcrap about how 'he didn't do anything wrong.' and that 'it was her who kissed me not me.'
I decided to leave it alone and go to the mall. On my way there I was trying to put the battery back into my phone, almost running a stop sign in the making. I slamed on my brakes and everything went flying. Ugh. Just what I wanted, a mess in my truck. I find a parking spot next to the front doors to JCPenny's. This is a first, I think to myself.
I walk inside and head straight to the cosmetics counter. I look throughout all the eyeliners and mascaras. I see nothing that I like. I walk out of JCPenny's and start walking to the food court. That is when I see the unthinkable walking towards me. Tyler. Oh God, what is he doing here? Wait, why am I asking myself this? It's a mall, everybody comes here.
He notices me getting a little tense and he walks over saying, "Hey, Rachael, how's it going?"
His golden brown eyes pierceing though mine. Man did I love eyes, except when he would do his freaking eye trick. That always grossed me out. "Nothing much, what about you? Anything interesting in you life?" I ask still focasing on his eyes.
"No, nothing interesting, just chillin' with friends and doing random stuff." He leans in for a hug. I politely obliged. He is so warm and strong. Oh, God how I do miss that. Wait, what am I saying? Ugh, this is hard. Oh well, it wouldn't hurt to try once more.
"Cool, cool." I say letting go of the hug.
"Want to do something today? Maybe head to the movies or something?" he asked out of nowhere. I looked up at him looking down at me. Waiting for an answere.
"Um, sure. What movie did you have in mind?"
"Scary." he said with absolutely no hesitation what-so-ever.
I shuttered at the thougt. "Okay." I said scared of what movie we where going to see.
"Okay. Scary movie it is. Unless you are not into those kind of movies?"
"Psh. Nah, I'm not scared." I said hiding my actual feelings.
"All right then." he said still looking down at me to make sure I was willing to stick with the plan. We left the mall, and headed to the theater. We ended up seeing Priest. It turned out to be not scary at all. It was short and no point in watching. Just another movie with a hoard of vampires. I pretended to be scared so that Tyler can put his arm around me.
We left the movie just in time for me to go home. "Would you like me to drop you off?" Tyler asked as we walked out of the theater. He placed his hand into mine. I felt chills going down my back and then it turned into warmth. I didn't really know what to do at this point with is hand laced in mine.
"I can't. I have to get back to my truck. Sorry." I said trying not to sound so disappointed.
"Well, would you like me to walk you to your car?" he asked with sweet eyes. He smiled, trying to get me to say yes...or change my mind.
"That would be nice. Thank you." We walked in silence the rest of the way. When we reached my truck, Tyler was facing me. He planted a sweet one on my lips. It was soft and innocent. I was thinking back to all the good times we shared. I kissed him back realizing that it was getting late.
"I have to go." I said pulling away and getting in my truck. I rolled the window down to kiss him again, and drove off. I got home with five minutes to spare. My mom was already asleep, and my dad was working out late. Figures. I locked the door and strolled upstairs.
When I got there, I changed into my PJs and decided to call my friend Ashley. "Hello." she said in the receiver.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Oh nothing, just bugging Kellen that's all. What about you? Anything interesting happen today?" she asked sounded like she knew what happened.
"Oh, the usual. Jake calling me, trying to get back together with him. Went to the mall. Kissed Tyler." I said in a really low mumble, hoping she didn't hear me.
"WHAT!! You kissed Tyler. Ooh spill everything." she said awaiting at what I have in store for her little ears. I told her just about everything. Him seeing me at the mall, watching a movie, holding hands, and kissing.
"Oh my God. Eek! I'm so excited for you. So are you two official now?" she asked.
I had to think about this for a moment and then my phone buzzed. I looked at the text that was sent. It was from Tyler: "Hey babe, hope you have a good nights rest. Love you lots. <3 <3." I smiled at the message.
"Yep, we are official." I told her keeping my cool.
"EEK! Congrates on the new BF." She said practically screaming in my ear. I laughed, told her goodnight, and laid in my bed for a little while. So I'm dating Tyler...again. I laughed to myself the thought of him and me back together. Hopefully nothing gets in our way this time. I fell asleep dreaming about him.
