Another week had passed by.

And here I was again.

I had always hated mornings at Hogwarts. Not because I disliked waking up. Not because I hated the cold stone floors beneath my feet or the way the castle always seemed to be freezing no matter how many fireplaces burned throughout the corridors.

Actually, there was something comforting about mornings here.

The castle slowly coming alive.

The sound of students rushing through hallways, portraits complaining about being woken up, the distant voices echoing from floors below.

It reminded me that life continued even after all.

But no.

The reason I hated mornings was because they gave my thoughts too much time to catch up, just like right now.

I stood in front of the mirror in our dorm, trying to decide whether I looked like someone who had slept peacefully or someone who had spent most of the night staring at the ceiling while arguing with herself.

The answer was definitely the second one.

"You look like you fought a war in your sleep."

I glanced through the reflection in the mirror, meeting the eyes of the girl who had just spoken up.

Brielle was sitting on the edge of her bed, still half asleep, her hair messy and her blanket wrapped around her shoulders.

"Good morning to you too." I sarcastically muttered out while feeling a faint smile growing on my lips. The frown that had been plastered on my forehead for the last few minutes slowly disappeared.

She yawned. "I'm serious." Her voice was a little harsher then it usually was, seriousness lingering behind the playful tone. "You look like you need a few hours more in bed."

I rolled my eyes while grabbing my robe from the chair next to me. "Why thank you- you are incredibly supportive." I couldn't hide the grin on my lips by now.
