On tour, we continue to tirelessly working on our first album. We've released an EP with some original song and some covers, but we're looking to write and release an entire album. Writing songs with the boys is an interesting experience. Every time I contribute a lyric or a chorus, I have to change it into a male perspective, considering who our audience is and who will actually be singing the songs.

As we write songs, I know that a few we wrote had at least something to do with me. It's not a big deal. For most of the guys, excluding Luke, I'm the girl they spend the most time with, so it makes sense that certain interactions inspire songs. However, I know it's not in a romantic way. Once we think of the songs, we use other, personal experiences. Here are the songs I know are at least some-what about me:

She Looks So Perfect -- Much to my chagrin, the underwear prank spurred a really, really catchy song.

18 -- The boys have always teased me about being older than them, and apparently the song had been in the works since they met me.

Just Saying -- Although this song is really fun and upbeat, it's actually a little hard to listen to. It is really a testament of how much they hate my ex. And Ash actually sings a verse! I'm so proud of him, but he rolled his eyes when I told him he was great..."just saying."

Mrs All American -- This is one of my favorite songs on the album, just because it's so catchy and always makes me smile. Mentioning my minivan is definitely the highlight for me.

I sing some more vocals on the album. Nothing too major, but having my higher voice allows for a really great harmony. I'm still focused on making the bass sound as full and wonderful as possible.

We're on tour for Luke's birthday. He is turning 18 and we're all so excited. Even though I love Liz, I'm excited to see Luke unwind a little bit. He's finished up school and now is finally on his own.

As a birthday surprise, we decide to do the "cuddle Keek" to him. Calum and I spoon him on both sides. He doesn't really wake up, but I guess he realizes someone is in bed with him, because he grabs me around the waist and pulls me closer, hooking his chin on my shoulder. I squeak and look at Ash for help. He is too busy giggling behind his phone filming. Michael, on the other hand, had enough of being left out and jumps on top of the three of us with a yell.

Calum and I groan and Luke wakes up with a shout. I guess he also realizes he's holding me because he jumps back, banging into Calum, who of course spoons him closer. We're all cracking up and Ashton puts his phone down to jump in with us.

The four of us sing an extremely loud, slightly screamo (thanks, Mikey) version of Happy Birthday to Luke. He smiles, but we can tell something was wrong so we pester him until he tells us.

"Uh, Alicia broke up with me last night over Skype."

"WHAT?" We all shout. I didn't even know anything was wrong in their relationship.

"Yeah, she said the long distance was just too hard and it wasn't working for her anymore."

If I was been with a bunch of girlfriends, we would have all sat in bed and talked and cried until Luke felt better.

But these guys don't work that way. They all hop up.

"Okay, well we need to go out tonight" Calum says, confidently. "She doesn't deserve you and for your 18th birthday, we are gonna find someone who will!" And promptly walks out.

"Yeah Luke, don't sweat it. Although you'll have to be sure she's over 18 now that you are!" Ashton laughs following Calum.

"We'll scan their IDs for you!" Says a chuckling Michael as he also exits.
