Opposites Attract

Chapter 4

To be honest I didn't know what to say, This was going by so fast. Even though I wanted to be his girlfriend very badly I hardly knew anything about him, Hell I just met him today. Then I suddenly gained  the confidence that I desperately needed.

"Yes Brayden... I will be your girlfriend." I said unsure if what I just said is right. Then he leaned over and kissed me again.

After what seemed like hours of kissing we finally took a break of swallowing each other's tongues. We sat in the truck for a while just enjoying the moment, then while I was sitting in Brayden's lap I felt something poke me in my thigh. I looked down to see that he was on hard. I looked up at him and he smiled and blushed, and I laughed and got off of his lap and back into my seat. 

Finally He pulled up into my driveway and turned off the engine

"Can I walk you to your door." Brayden asked

"Sure, why not?" I said. He laughed

He walked out of the truck over to my side were he helped me out of the truck. He's such the gentleman.

We made it to the porch and he stared at me with those pretty blues.

"I guess I'll see you tomorrow." He said still blushing

"Yep most likely since we live right next door to each other." I said

We both laughed

"Well I guess will be on my way then , my mom will flip out if I don't do my chores before she gets home". He said

I laughed " My mom is the same way." I said

Then he looked at me and leaned down to kiss me. as our lips connected I felt the same spark that I felt earlier and wrapped my arms around his neck.

He broke the kiss and smiled at me walking backwards to his truck. I walked inside of my house pressing my back towards the front door breathless. I never in my life felt this way about a boy. I only knew him for one day and I was already falling for him.

I took a deep breath and headed up to my room to take a short nap before cooking dinner.

I woke up to find that Ashley was finally home and had already had started our dinner: Fried porkchops, white rice, collard greens , cornbread, and peach cobbler for dessert. We had to give ourselves props, no female our age can throw down like this. As we set the table mama came through the door.

"Hmm....smells good in here girls." Our mama works at Kingsley Incorporated, a prestigious company that sells high-priced  hand crafted furniture for celebrities and she deserves good meal after being on her feet all day. We all sat at the table chewing our food until Ashley broke the silence.

"Mama, Victoria got a boyfriend!"

I spit out the sprite that I was drinking all over the table. I looked at Ashley with fire in my eyes. I can't believe she just sold me out like that. If it was her in my position I wouldn't do her like that. Never.

"Is this true Victoria?"

I tried to speak but it felt like the cat had my tongue, Should I or should I not be honest about the situation....I knew that if I didn't tell her now, she would find out later. She always had a way of finding out stuff.

"Yes." I said blushing

Ashley's mouth dropped. I finally realized that when she told momma that I had a boyfriend that she was just joking around, Now I just told on myself.

"What's his name?, Momma asked And how come I haven't met this young man yet?"

Oh mother, you are so filled with questions.

" His name is Brayden and he lives right next door to us." I said looking away from her burning eyes.

"Really, when did he move in? I didn't notice anyone move in next door...."

I explained to her that Brayden and his family moved in while we were gone on our trip.

"Well does he have any brothers or sisters?" She Asked

To be honest I never got around to asking him whether he did or not, We were to busy sucking each others faces off.

"I don't know....." I said

"How do you don't know?"

"I was meaning to ask him but I never got around to it"

"You need to know about him, I mean since he's your boyfriend and all." Ashley said putting her two sense into our A and B conversation.

"Shut up." I told her. She always in other folks business besides her own.

"Well, Momma said. you should invite him over one day so we can get to know him better."

Momma smiled as Me and Ashley got up to clear the table and wash the dishes. Momma went upstairs to take her shower and watch TV before going to bed. Ashley and I finished up the dishes and went our separate ways into our rooms.

I went into my room and closed the door. I was so tired that I plopped into my bed and fell asleep almost instantly.

"I love you Victoria." The stranger said to me while wrapping his arms around my waist...His voice sure did sound quite familiar

"I love you too." I said as I turned around to face him and I was shocked to see that it was Brayden

"I never want to lose you...never." He told me

" Don't worry, I said reassuring him. I would never leave you baby, never in a million years." and then we kissed like we never kissed before..............................

I jumped up from my dream and screamed.

"What the hell is going on in here?" Ashley asked as she bust into my room with a baseball bat in her hands.

"Nothing, I said trying to calm my nerves. Everything's fine." I said

" it can't be, you up in here screaming like somebody finna kill yo ass or something. you better be glad you didn't wake up momma." she said putting down the baseball bat.

"You want me to sleep in here with you?" She asked me

"Bruh I'm not a little kid anymore." I said laying back into the covers.

"Damn I was just asking." she said walking out of my room.

" Wait, I said calling after her. you can sleep in here with me."

She walked back in my room and got under the cover with me and soon she was snoring.

Damn. I thought I might be in love with him for real.....if that dream I just had was wrong I don't want to be right.
