Dan's P.O.V
I wake up groggily to a sudden beeping noise. I jolt awake as I see Phil tossing and turning, his heart beating insanely quick. I was about to pull the string when 3 doctors come in and a nurse. The nurse tries to escort me out, when I hear the doctors saying, "His pulse is extremely too fast! Oh my god, his brain activity is off the charts!"
I immediately push past the nurse and yell, "he's having a nightmare!"
They ignore me, "we need to slow down his heart before he goes into full cardiac arrest!"
I squeeze in between them and frantically say, "please! Let me try to calm him down."
"I'm sorry, but this is serious! Please leave!"
"No trust me!"
I turn to Phil and throw my arms over him, saying into his ear, "Phil? Phil,please hear me! It's ok Phil! I'm right here Phil, I promise!"
I could hear the doctors behind me gasp, "oh my god, it's actually working. His pulse is slowing down a bit!"
I continue, "Please Phil, trust me. I'm right here. I made a promise to help you and I'm gonna keep it. Phil, please. It's ok. I'm here. I'm safe, and guess what Phil? I love you! I love you so much and I never ever ever want to leave you again."
One of the doctors say in disbelief, "everything's back to normal. His readings are completely stable."
I feel Phil slightly relax in my arms. The doctors leave, still in obvious shock. I position myself so I'm laying on the bed as well. I fall asleep with my head on his chest, hanging onto him for dear life.
