Dan's POV
I wake up slowly, feeling the warmth I had felt last night move and disappear. Ten minutes later I finally open my eyes and sit up. Wait, why am I in Phil's bed!? Suddenly the memory of last night came into my mind. "Shit." I mumble.
Why did I think sleeping in Phil's room was a good idea!? That's such a gay move, and we are just friends! I sigh and get out of bed. Oh well, what's done is done I guess. I walk into the kitchen where I see Phil at work cooking pancakes. He looks over his shoulder and sees me, "Morning."
"Morning, pancakes?"
"Yup."
He puts the last pancake on the plate, turns off the burner, and turns to face me. He puts his head down a bit and awkwardly says, "Hey...sorry about last night."
I smile, "Nah, it's okay. What are friends for right?"
He puts on a sad smile, "Yeah...friends."
I walk over to him, "Hey, you okay?"
Suddenly, he wraps his arms around me, enveloping me in a strong hug, "Thank you...for always being there for me."
I pat his back, "Uhh...no problem."
He releases me and awkwardly steps back, "Soo...you hungry?"
I laugh and yell, "Hell yeah!"
He smiles and laughs. We sit down with our plates of pancakes on the couch to watch some Death Note. I notice he snuggles a bit closer to me, but I ignore it as if it's nothing.
