Chapter 5

2 weeks later

Zach's POV

It's been two weeks since Cataleya has been in the hospital. I'm here at the waiting room. And I haven't slept or ate properly. I never left her side. I can't afford someone important to me to vanish. I've already experience a lot of it. I was 10 years old back then when they died.

"Mom!" My sister, Elle, shouted running down me in tow. She was 5 years old. I chased her downstairs. Elle went outside, into the forest.

"Wait, Elle! Don't go out there!" I shouted while running to her. When I finally got near her, I grabbed her wrist to stop her. "We need to go" I said to my sister. She pouted, she's too cute I can't resist. But I know that it's very dangerous for us, especially we are the Alpha's son and daughter. It will be an easy target for other packs or rouges.

"But-" Elle began running towards it. I took off following her. When I caught her she struggled in my arms but calmed down. "Let's go Elle, dad is looking for us" I strictly said. She nodded.

We were near the house when a wolf howled. I was sure it wasn't from our pack. I looked around, I noticed red eyes. Rogues. "Elle run, find dad and mom. Don't look back" I pushed her and she started running, tears streaming down her face. I shifted into my little black wolf. Being a ten years old sucks because I have a little wolf. A wolf charged at me but I quickly side stepped him going for his throat. Another wolf lunged at me but I wasn't looking. I landed on my back with him on top of me. I growled and tried to move out. But I failed seeing that he is bigger than me. Suddenly a big black wolf lunged at him and killed him. Dad. He killed rouges on sight.

"Ahhhhh!" Screamed a little girl. Elle. I know it. I turned around. Elle was being surrounded by three big wolves. She was crying. No one makes Elle cry. I charged at them not thinking properly. I was already on my back and the big one was already on top of me going for my neck, but my dad killed him. The two other wolves attacked my dad. I went straight to my sister, comforting her.

When I heard I whimper I looked for my dad, on the ground, dead. Dead. No,no. It can't be. I charged at the wolf. I bite his legs. It whimpered, but it bit my back and threw me to the ground. I stood up and charged for his throat, but I saw a flash of hair in fromt of me and in a flash my sister was killed. Killed. By a goddamn rogue. She saved her life for me. All I can see was red. I went for the rogue. Killing it without mercy.

Since that, I hated rogues.

(Present time)

"Alpha"

I stood up too quickly making the chair fall, but I quickly got it before it touched the floor. I stood up properly and faced the doctor. "What?" My voice hoarse and tense. Thinking something happened.

"Before I say this you need to calm and do not run. Because you need to listen" The doctor said slowly, making sure I understand his point. I nodded. "Well, good news and bad news. Bad news is, if she wakes up she isn't allowed to tire her body, it'll open up a few stitches. She should eat a lot because she lost a lot of blood. And every week she needs checkup. She isn't allowed to run and train for a few weeks seeing that her body's been beaten up real bad." I sighed and nodded. I'll make sure that she follows. "And the good news, since I used a little bit of my affinity". Ahh, what could be the good news? Probably, sh- "She's awake".

If you're wandering, yes pack doctors have affinities, but theirs is stronger.
