Louis' POV

All of a sudden, a tall boy sauntered in and greeted Hazel. Who was this guy? He was also wearing the employee uniform but made it look fit and cool.

"Mornin' Haz." He yawned wide, showing off his perfectly straight white teeth.

I clenched my fist, and felt my face go red from anger. What is wrong with me? I know what's wrong with him though. Who does he think he is, calling Hazel "Haz"? That's the stupidest nickname ever.

"Hey Logan," Hazel replied nonchalantly.

Logan didn't even see me there, where obviously Hazel and I had been having a conversation before he interrupted. I gave him a once-over and felt even more dismayed. This guy was definitely attractive by American standards.

Finally, he saw me and did a double take. I didn't even hear Hazel explain who I was because of the wild fantasies running through me head.

There's no way Hazel would like an arrogant-looking guy like that. And even if she did, I bet he's just a player. Not that I care of course. But she seems so kind, she deserves better. Not that it matters to me. I just want to punch that stupid smirk off his face. He's obviously just trying to act smooth to impress her. Not that I care if he impresses her.

I bit back my tongue and just introduced myself as cooly as possible. Finally, he went to the back room and left us alone.

Then I noticed Hazel grabbing her stuff and taking off her apron.

"Well... my shift's over so..."

Oh no she's leaving.

She awkwardly turned toward the door.

Wait, I don't want to say goodbye.

I flashed the good old Tomlinson smile and said," Then I guess we better find something fun to do."

Hazel blinked, surprised, and shrugged.

"I've got nothing better to do."

"Great, then I can finally get a tour of this lovely town from someone who actually knows what they're doing."

I held the door for her as we walked out into the bright California sunshine. She and I both reached for our sunglasses as the same time and slid them on to shield our eyes. By this time, a few hardcore surfers were catching waves and a few dozen random people scattered around the boardwalk.

"So, anything you want to do specifically?" I asked, not knowing where to go.

"Not really, but if you want a tour, I can give you one. The town's not too big, we can walk around for a while."

We passed the strange little shops I had wandered through a few days ago. Suddenly she stopped.

"Hey, can you give me a minute? I want to change out of my work uniform." She pointed to the restrooms at the end of the boardwalk.

"Sure.... I'll be... here." I smiled awkwardly as she apologetically walked backward towards the loo.

While she was changing, I searched around the beach. A gang of blonde, arrogant guys were waxing their boards about twenty feet away, whistling at girls as they walked by.

Dicks.

I saw one girl that looked only about fourteen talking to her friend, and passing them. Her dirty blonde hair and round baby blue eyes took my breath away. She looked so familiar that it hurt.

Suddenly, one of the guys catcalled her. She glanced their way then pretended not to notice, her face flushing  with embarrassment from the unwanted attention.
