Nate Archibald love story

Chapter 6

Amy's PoV:

It was around 9:30pm now and the party had been quite good so far. Nate introduced me to some of his friends and they all seem really nice! Although at the minute I can't seem to find him. I look around the room hoping to catch a glimpse of him but I can't see him anywhere. I saw Chuck getting a drink and decided to go over and talk to him.
"Hey Chuck!" I said as I approached him.
"Oh hey Amy, are you having a good time?" He asked.
"Yeh it's better than I thought it would be, especially now that I know some more people!" I replied.
"Well that's good, I'm pleased your enjoying yourself."
"I was wondering if you've seen Nate anywhere I can't seem to find him?" I asked
"Oh well the last time I saw him was about an hour ago, not sure where he is now though. Maybe check upstairs or in the kitchen." He suggested
"Yeah thanks Chuck, I'll let you know if I find him."
So I made my way into the kitchen first as Chuck had suggested. He wasn't in there, I was starting to get really worried now.
Next I made my way up the stairs and started to look around when I heard some mumbles coming from one of the bedrooms.
I slowly creeped round the corner and made my way over to the room which I heard the noise coming from, trying to be as quite as possible because I don't wanna get caught!
As I approached the room I peered around the corner to reveal the person I had been looking for... Nate and a girl?
What the hell is going on? I stayed there for a few more minutes trying to listen to the convocation they were having.
"Come on Nate, you know you want too." The girl said
"No I don't why don't you just leave me alone?"
"I like you too much and plus I don't know why you're holding back, I know you're with that Amy girl but she's not right for you she's a slut and probably just dating you for you're money!" She then said.
At this point tears were starting to form in my eyes but I was determined not to let them spill out, I mean who even is this girl?
The next thing I know is that Nate and the girl were kissing and this caused me to sprint along the hallway and back down the stairs. Nate must of heard me running away as I heard him run out of the room after me and call my name. I didn't stop though I just kept running, I definitely wasn't going to stay here after this, so as I got to the bottom of the stairs I decided to just go back to my apartment so I ran as fast as I could and made my way to the elevator. As I was running towards the elevator, I heard someone call my name, it sounded like chuck but I didn't stop I didn't want to be ignorant I just didn't want to talk to anyone right now.
I then got into the elevator, however just as the doors were closing a hand slid into them and pushed them back open revealing a worried looking Chuck. He stepped into the elevator and stood beside me.
"Are you okay?" He asked
"Yeah I'm okay." I said trying to stop more tears from spilling out.
"You don't look okay to me, what happened Amy?"
"I don't wanna talk about it right now."
"I understand but just so you know you can talk to me whenever you want okay? I may be Nates best friend but that doesn't mean we can't be friends, I'm hear for you."
"Thanks Chuck." I replied.
"So are you just going back to your apartment?"
"Yeah I think so."
"Okay well I'll leave you alone then but call me if you need anything okay?"
Just as Chuck was about to step out of the elevator to say goodbye to me I suddenly spoke
"Chuck if you wouldn't mind, would you come with me, I mean before I wanted to be on my own but now I've realised I could do with some cheering up and some good company."
"Of course! Anything for one of my new best friends!" Chuck said with a big smile on his face.
We then left the building and got a car back to my apartment. In the car on the way back I explained to Chuck what happened.

---At the apartment---

When we arrived back at my apartment, I closed the door behind me and just burst into tears. Chuck turned around and walked up to me embracing me into his arms, he pulled me in and gave me a massive hug, while I cried into his shoulder.
I pulled back and walked into the kitchen with Chuck following behind me.
"I'm so sorry I shouldn't be crying on you like that, I feel so pathetic."
"Hey, Amy look at me." He said so I turned around to face him.
"Look we may not have known each other that long but it doesn't mean I don't care about you and like I said before I'm here for you."
"Thanks Chuck I really appreciate it."

About 5 minutes later my phone rang, I looked at the caller ID: Nate❤️🌍
I immediately pressed the decline button, I really couldn't handle talking to him right now.
Seconds later I got a text.
Nate❤️🌍:
Please talk to me. It's not what it looked like, please ring me I love you so much just give me a chance to explain?💕xxxx

I just ignored him again, but that message got to me, I mean 'it's not what it looked like.' Then what was it?
Minutes later there was a knock at the door.
"Do you want me to get it?" Chuck asked
"No it's fine I'll go." I replied
I wandered over to the door and slowly opened it to reveal an upset looking Nate. His eyes were all red and puffy like he had been crying.
"What do you want Nate?" I asked
"Please just give me a chance to explain Amy?"

So guys what do you think of this chapter? Don't know if I like it or not!
Left it on a bit of a cliffhanger, do you think Amy will give Nate a second chance, what do you think is gonna happen next?
