Mira's POV
The rest of the day went by in a blur. Before I knew it, it was lunch time. I picked up my books and calmly walked out of the classroom. As I exited a boy with red hair walked past me nodding his head in respect. I nodded back. We moved on.
As I walked past the people in the halls they all just nodded their heads or said a mutual 'hi' and returned to what they were previously doing. I did nothing.
But somehow, somewhere I felt like I was being watched.
Odd...
When I reached the lunchroom, the doors suddenly flew opened and I was bathed with the sickly yellow light. I walked in. I looked up just in time to see the same boy I bumped into earlier sprint by. Time seemed to stop.
Why?
I saw a frown was plastered on his face. His eyes looked off somewhere not here even though they were directly focused on the blue and white tiled floor. Almost abrutly, his onyx eyes seemed to bore into my blue ones. I turned around and faced the lunchroom again, not bodering to see what his expression was.
Not like I cared anyway.
I calmly walked up to the lunchlady and asked for the regular.
I'm not big on change.
And as usual the the populars banged through the already battered doors and strutted right in.
I ignored them. But everyonelse stared hungrily at them like they were the best thing they ever saw.
This always happened.
I walked toward my usual seat not talking to anyone and noone talking to me. I put on my red headphones and listen to a random song on my playlist. I didn't notice that that guy came back and decided it was funny to come near me again. Uninvitingly, he sat down across from me.
"Are you stalking me? You seemed to be everywhere I am." I cooly stated.
He just smirked. I scrunched up my nose.
"Well this is a small school. Or are you stalking me?" He mimicked. Amusement driping off his face. I scowled.
He suddenly looked around. Then he looked at me and said the one thing that made me want to slap him.
"You don't have many friends here don't you? You must be new here too!"
Bastard. I'm a Junior.
I instead shrugged and resumed to my wholewheat pasta and broccoli. Not the best lunch ever.
Suddenly a girl with abnormaly large glasses and braces nodded her head at me. I nodded back. After she walked away, the idiot in gray said something.
"Damn you're lonely! The nerd didn't even say hi!" he laughed.
What's this guy's problem?
