About 20 minutes after we formed the beach plan, Brooklyn went to wake up Grace. Luckily, we all kept two bathing suits of ours at each other's houses, so I packed for the three of us. I called Scott and Jase to see if they wanted to join us. For the first time, Jase said he couldn't make it. Even Scott said he would go. Scott never went to anything!
I wasn't planning on taking a body suit. Those got too hot after a while if you weren't wet. If you were, then you would be freezing the second you got out of the water. But, if you don't want to be eaten by a shark, those suits help a lot. They have a lot of strips that for some reason scare away the sharks.
I put on my bathing suit and stepped out of my room. Emmett was standing a couple feet away from the door. I smiled and then he did too. His pure white teeth are perfect. They're so perfect that he had to have had braces when he was younger. Either that or very fortunate genes.
"I wanted to ask you something." I said. Grace had said that we were boyfriend and girlfriend. I couldn't say so though. I hadn't known for sure. If I went along with it, I would be lying. One date doesn't make you a couple. Not necessarily. So I didn't want to go spreading lies.
"Sure, ask away," he said, still grinning.
"Are we... um. I wanted to know if-" I was interrupted by Emmett's lips on mine, silencing me. His hands went on my hips and my hands went from fidgeting in nervousness to around his neck. It wasn't not just a peck on the lips. It was a long passionate kiss. One that makes all thoughts clear from your head in that instant. I didn't think those kind of kisses were real.
After about a minute, he pulled back slightly. There was hardly two inches separating our faces. I could feel his warm breath on my face. I was sure he could feel mine. I wouldn't have been surprised if he could hear or feel my heart beating out of my chest.
"Does that answer your question?" He asked. I nodded once. Just a small nod. We wen't back to kissing. Our kisses could've been rehearsed, but they weren't. It was just perfect. I then heard the sound of two girls awing. I probably would've been too if I wasn't the one kissing him.
"Really guys?" I said to them over Emmett's left shoulder. They just smiled and their cheeks got all rosy and innocent. I was still too happy with my life to get any source of anger directed to anyone.
I got the bags that held clothes from the floor and handed one to each girl. It had the things that they each need for the trip. We had already called our parents and they said it was okay as long as there was a wall separating the boys and girls. I found that ridiculous considering that the three of us were going to have sex until we got married. We all made the vow. At least the girls and I did. I'm very sure that wall between us will not exist tonight.

At this point, we were all in the minivan. Yes, minivan. It was the only car that could take all 5 of us and our luggage. If you think about it, everyone had about 2 bags. That's ten bags. The ten bags all fit in the back row of seats. Scott and Brooklyn got to sit in the front with Scott driving the car. Grace wanted to sit on the end, so Grace sat on the end of the middle row. Emmett sat on the other end of the car and I sat between them both in the middle. I got to lean against him and take a nap with a blue blanket that was thrown over me. I was "Resting my eyes" so I was still a tiny bit aware of what was going on. Emmett's arm was around me, the car was running pretty smoothly, with a small sway, and Grace's music was a bit loud so I could hear her playlist softly like if it was in the back of my head.
It was nice. I'd never been on a friend trip. We just had sleepovers at each other's houses. This was still a little bit different. It wasn't the awkward silence that sometimes happened with families when they took road trips. When it was quiet, it was a nice quiet. A think to yourself quiet. A we're about to have so much fun quiet.
Then came hunger. The only thing we didn't feel like packing was food. The beach was only 45 minutes away, but that gave time for hunger to settle in. I for whatever reason, was unaware of this. I started complaining and then Scott got cranky. He couldn't handle it anymore. He didn't like the "I want food" pressure. He asked Brooklyn if she could drive the rest of the way, which was only 15 minutes. She gladly took the wheel. Her mom hated her driving so she only got to drive when she was with us. Emmett gave me a piece of gum and that shut me right up. It was watermelon, my favorite.
I chewed in peace, Emmett caressed me, Grace pretended she was in a one woman air band, Scott gazed out the window, and Brooklyn drove.
Author's Note: You know what's weird? I've never had a boyfriend. I had like a second grade valentine, but that doesn't count. That's not real. I wonder, how can I write about being in a relationship, when I've never been in one. I any of you guys have or had a boyfriend, please tell me what it's like because right now I'm using what I know from books, movies, and fan fictions. If you comment below, I would love it! It would be really helpful. Don't hate on me for not updating for months. I've got a lot of stories to juggle and I didn't even know how I was going to carry out this chapter till today.
