13. stressed out

EMMA'S POV

What the hell.

I got out of the car as soon as we parked. Will has been a controlling a sshole ever since a few weeks ago.

"Nice going, jack a ss!" Straub yelled and other inaudible shouts from the others. But Will's voice wasn't heard.

I looked back before I turned and saw him just looking at me.

Like the lady I am, I flipped him off and ran.

You should have been louder in the car, Emma.

But Will just doesn't listen to anyone when he's mad, and once Zack challenged him, Will clearly wanted to fight someone.

I shook my head and began to clear my thoughts.

I came here to have a good time and I honestly feel attacked.

After about ten minutes, I reach a small playground. I had gotten several missed calls from Will.

My ring tone sounded again but this time it was Pizza Boy.

"Hello?" I mumbled, kicking my feet through the wood chips.

"Emma! Are you okay?" Zack asked, sounding worried.

"Yeah, I guess," I said, swaying on the swing.

"Where are you?" he calmly questioned.

"I'm at a park..." I sniffled.

"Stay right there," Zack commanded, and hung up.

Three more calls and twelve texts from Will, and I still haven't brought myself to reply to him.

I saw a small silver Prius stop at the corner, and Zack walked out looking around until we looked at each other.

"Holy crap, Ems, are you okay?" Zack asked, pulling me into a hug.

Will calls me that.

Will. Will. Will. Will.

Will.

Fuck.

"I'm okay," I say, wiping my eyes to prevent myself from crying.

"Let's get you home," he says, grabbing my hand.

Once we got buckled up and heard for the house again.

I look out the window and see a stressed boy, walking around as if he's looking for someone. His phone is against his ear and he looks frustrated as well.

Well.

Will.

It's Will.

I decided to ignore what I'm seeing and try to fall asleep.
