Chapter 3: Hospital

Lauren Holiday sprinted into the hospital, dragging her suitcase behind her, and immediately went to the front desk and asked "Morgan Brian, age 22. She was brought in here for a car crash. I'm her emergency contact, Lauren Holiday." Immediately the receptionist replied "yes. She is still in surgery, but we can give you a private waiting room for the meantime if you want, ma'am." Lauren nodded and was led to the private room.

She sat down on the couch and texted Jrue "At hospital waiting for news. She's in surgery." He replied "okay. How was flight?" "Stressful. I ran off the plane and to baggage claim." "Keep calm. I'm praying for Moe." "Thanks. Love you." "Love you too."

She ended up watching tv and the news was on

BREAKING NEWS:

UNITED STATES WOMAN'S NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM MIDFIELDER MORGAN BRIAN AND FAMILY IN DEADLY CAR CRASH, BRIAN ONLY SURVIVOR!!

Lauren burst into tears as she saw the clips from it with them taking the Brian family out of the car and seeing the bloody family. When they finally got Moe out, she was taken into a ambulance in record time.

Reported "Morgan Brian, age 22, had serious injuries with her whole right side possibly destroyed and having a severe concussion. Brian was part of the World Cup champion team that bested Japan 5-2, and when the USA defeated Germany and banged heads with a German player. she didn't appear to have a concussion and was checked regularly. Now, after the crash, Brian was placed in immediate surgery and there is no news other than she is alive."

The interview ended and Lauren just continued to wait.

Suddenly, after another 2 hours, a doctor came out and asked a nurse. She pointed to Lauren, and he came over and tapped Lauren who looked up. He asked "Are you here for Morgan Brian?" She nodded and replied "Yes. I'm Lauren Holiday." "Nice to meet you, Mrs.Holiday. Now, can you come someplace with me? Someplace more private." She nodded, and grabbed her suitcase and backpack before following the doctor, who she learned was Doctor Zen.

Location Change: Doctor Zen's office

He motioned for her to sit, and she sat. He sat at his desk and said "Well, Morgan was injured pretty badly. She has a severe concussion, broken ribs. the worst was her right leg, though. She tore everything in it, so that means a lot of recovery and therapy for her. But she has no one now..." Lauren interrupted, saying "My husband and is will take care of her. She's like a daughter to us." He smiled and replied "Okay. Sounds good. I wish you could see her, but visiting hours just ended after surgery and she's in a room. Tomorrow, you can see her at 8:00, when visiting hours start but I'm not sure if she will be awake." Lauren smiled and replied "Okay." She was gonna be okay.

She walked to the hotel that was next door to the hospital and got to her room and called Jrue and told him the news. He was so happy and, plus, they were taking her in even though Lauren was retired.
