Noah's POV

I was running with the gurney as Dodge's lifeless body was hussled through hallways. We were at a supernatural hospital that specializes in the hurt paranormal. When Dodge collapsed I told Emily to call them. They came within seconds, vampires were like ambulances.

Now there were three doctors running and pushing the gurney.

The ponytail guy yelled, "What happened!"

"She woke up from a nightmare with burns then she didn't know where she was and we told her three times! Then she collapsed!" I yelled back over the backround noise.

The woman with big glasses yelled to ponytail guy, "A jumper?!"

The bleach blonde shook her head, "That doesn't fit! The burns are healed she should be awake and her pulse is almost beating out of her chest!"

When we got her in an exam room they started hooking her up to machines. "Time could be a key to bring her out of this coma people!" Pony tail guy yelled.

"What do you mean coma?" I said.

"Sir you need to leave." Big glasses said.

"I'm not leaving!" I growled and flashed my eyes to wolf.

"Then stay out of our way." She said calmly.

"Tell me what's going on! She's my mate!" I growled again in a demanding tone.

She stepped nose to nose with me. "Considering her life is in my hands I politely suggest you shut the fuck up so I can do my job." She said. She was clearly a fairy. They were very intelligent but also hot headed, very mean creatures.

I growled as she went to work on Dodge. Bleach blonde cut her shirt off as they examined the reason she was knocked out.

"Dear god." Pony tail guy said.

"Get the brain wave machine!" Yelled big glasses.

She hooked it up fast. I couldn't see what was happening. I took a few steps closer.

Her brain waves were high, the room was quiet, I looked to Dodge and saw that her arm had a punture hole with purple vains surrounding it like an infection. "What does this mean?" I asked in the silence.

"We should talk about this in the hallway." Pony tail guy said.

I noded numbly. You know the gut wrenching feeling you get when you know somebody is going to tell you something horrible? Well let's just say I now know this feeling all to well.

We went to the hallway where Emily was waiting. "What's wrong with her?" She said her eyes wide with worry. Her perfect hair now frizzy and out of control.

That's when pony tail guy spoke. "She was injected with a virus."

"So it wasn't a jumper." Emily confirmed.

"Yes and no." He said. "She got injected when she was in her dream from what I gather. The virus is making her stay asleep and the jumper is messing with her, keeping her busy, because technically she can awake anytime, but only of her own free will."

"Why doesn't she just wake up then?" Emily said frustrated.

"In a dream thoughts can get shuffled and lost. And when you have a jumper in your head it makes it even more difficult. So it's quite possible she doesn't know she's in a dream."

"Why is the jumper keeping her distracted?" I asked curious.

Pony tail guy's face went somber. "The virus is eating at her brain. If she doesn't wake soon... She'll die." He said.
