Meredith's POV
A loud piercing scream shrilled in the air as Andrews body collapsed to the floor, blood slowly oozing out of the bullet wound on his side.
I stood shell-shocked, my body completely immobilized. Briefly I wondered if I had been the one to scream. When another scream came seconds later, I quickly dismissed the thought. Even if I had screamed it would not sound so pathetic.
Moving my eyes I noticed a woman cowering in the corner of the room with a little boy in her arms. The woman, with light brown hair clung to the boy with dear life, screaming at Andrew to wake up.
I raised an unimpressed eyebrow at her. Why in the world was she screaming? Didn't she know it would only attract more Hunters.
Looking over towards the Hunter who had shot Andrew, I saw him lying perfectly still with his head a couple feet next to him. This time I raised a very impressed eyebrow. Had I done that?
Almost calmly, I walked towards Andrew, feeling something strange churn inside me. I couldn't explain the feeling because I didn't recognize it. It was completely foreign to me and I didn't know if I liked it.
I stopped at the crown of Andrew's head, looking down at him. His face was busted and bruised, blood dripping from each side. His hair was a mess and his clothes were torn almost completely. Considering he had cloths on in the first place, I knew he hadn't shifted at all.
Lightly as I could, I kicked his shoulder ignoring the cries of the annoying woman behind me. My kick caused him to stir, his eyes slowly fluttering open.
All at once my whole body seemed to relax, every uneasy feelings I've been having till this point simply vanished. I did my best to keep my facial expression blank, but it was somewhat difficult considering how many strange feelings were running through my body.
"Meredith?" Andrew croaked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I forced a smirk on my lips though it felt shaky. "Miss me?" I didn't know if it was just my ears but for some odd reason my voice sounded breathless.
Andrew blinked, almost looking like he wished that I was just a hallucination. "Meredith?" He breathed his eyes widening comically when he realized that I truly was in front of him. "What are you doing here!" He hissed, both in pain and anger.
"What am I doing here? What are you doing here?" I countered, raising both my eyebrows.
Andrew clenched his jaws as he lightly stood up. Pain was etched into his eyes but he did his best to hide it. My fingers twitched with the need to help him, but I willed myself not to move. I couldn't touch him, in fear that I would do something completely uncharacteristic, such as hug him.
"You shouldn't be here." Andrew breathed, gripping the wall besides him for support while applying pressure to the bullet wound. One glance at it and I knew he would be fine. The bullet went in then straight out. Even with wolfsbane, he would be able to heal.
I tilted my head to the side, giving him a sarcastic smile. "And where exactly should I be?"
"At home," He growled in frustration, his eyes shining gold, "You shouldn't have been able to leave."
I waved my hand dismissively, "Yes. Yes, Zach did his very best to keep me there. Brava." I clapped my hands unenthusiastically.
"That isn't the point Meredith!" Andrew snapped, "You shouldn't be here! It's dangerous! It's safer at Crescent Moon!"
I stood silent for a second, shocked that he had actually snapped at me. Never in the my entire period of being with him, has Andrew ever yelled at me. The shock only lasted a brief second before his words processed into my mind.
