You peered up at the haunted looking house. The paint seemed impossibly weathered and the shutters looked ominous with moss growing on them.
You took a small step toward the over grown fenced yard. Opening it you walked forward.
The gate creaked behind you as you walked closer to the house. The big wooden door was flanked with a heavy and scary looking knocker.
Stepping up onto the porch you reached your hand out for the knocker. Your fingers barely grazing the knocker as the door was yanked open.
You stumbled back almost falling as a man stood towering above you.
He wore a mostly black suit and his skin was pale showing off his light brown almost yellow eyes. His hair was slicked back, it added to his dangerous edge, he looked to be no older than 24 and he raised a brow at you.
"Ah- Yes-umm sorry-" you begin stumbling over your words as you dig into your pocket but are cut off.
"Yes? What are you here for?" He says this rather impatiently as he leans on the door, his accent unplacable.
You shiver lightly before you find the slip of paper in your coat pocket. Looking it over you ask.
"Is this 406 Creepse Villey Lane?" You say more than a little jittery and frighten.
He peers down at you and smirks, "Yes."
Well that was not expectant, you were hoping you found the wrong house, not that any of the other scarce houses where any better.
"Oh-um- does Jack Frost live here?" You ask looking him in the eye but looking away quickly.
Something clicks and grin seems to spread. He turns into the house and yells.
"Jack! You have a fidgety little vixen out here for you."
You were shocked to say the least, a part of you hoped the teacher gave you the wrong address, the other wasn't so hopeful and kind of knew this was probably where he lived.
You almost missed the shout back or the hand gripping your wrist and tugging you in.
"What do you mean fidgety fox?" A voice said walking down the grand stairs into the foyer.
You looked around as the door was closed behind you and the hand let go of your wrist.
The inside was just as gloomy and ominous but obviously elegant and beautiful.
"This." The man said before he pushed you forward, a hand on your lower back.
You turned and watched Jack walk down the remaining steps and you tried to step back, but the hand on your back brought you closer to the teen.
You weren't scared of Jack but the look he was sending your way was obviously hateful but his eyes didn't seem to be pearing down at you but the man behind you.
"Ah, don't give me that look young Jack. I'm merely guiding her in." And with that the man's hand was gone and so was he.
You turned around to see where he went to see the door closing behind him. You turned around only for Jack to be standing right in front of you. You stumbled back hand placed over your chest as you tried to slow the organ.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at school? Or better yet with Aster?" He asked, his voice dark.
"Jack-" you began but was cut off.
"No, I don't want to hear it, leave, you're not a true friend so I don't have time for you." He said bitterly as he turned.
"Jack! Wait!" You watched as he turned to you to stare into your pleading eyes. And no matter how angry he was at you he couldn't say no to you.
