His Ride or Die

Chapter 5

You might have to read the ending of chapter 4 to catch on.

Jaiden's POV

"Man Tracy, get the fuck out my face," I yelled at her. "Nah fuck that," she yelled, trying to push Essence out of my arms, but I had a good grip on her.

I just ignored her and continued walking towards the front door, leaving her behind, looking stupid.

I walk in the house, shutting the door with the heel of my foot. I take Essence up to my room and lay her on my bed, so I can run her some bath water.

After I turn on the water, I sat on the toilet and stared into space.

A couple minutes later, I turned the water off and walked back into my room.

I just sat on the bed and just looked at Essence. Even with the bruises, she still looked beautiful.

Right when I was about to remove her clothes, I heard a phone ring. I checked mine and saw that it wasn't my phone. Then I saw that it was her phone ringing, strapped to her arm. I looked at the screen, and saw that it said 'Madre❤️'. I'm guessing that's her mom. I just put the phone down, deciding that I would let her call back after she wakes up.

After I finished undressing her, I took her clothes across the hall and put them in the washing machine so they'll be clean by the time she wakes up.

I picked her up and took her into the bathroom, carefully placing her in the tub. I grabbed a wash cloth and put some of my body wash on it.

As I started washing her body, I was admiring how beautiful she really is.

Essence is the type of girl I would wife up foreal.

~10 minutes later~

I just got done washing Essence and my back is killing me.

Right when I was about to get her out of the tub, I heard my phone vibrate on the counter. I looked at the caller id and saw that that it was my sister, Jakayla. I haven't seen her in a week, since she went off to college for her sophomore year.

I answered the phone. "Hey sis, shoot me a text, I'm kinda busy right now," I said. Before she could respond, I hung up. Not long after I hung up, my phone vibrated, indicating I had a text.

'I'll check it later', I thought.

I picked Essence up and carried her into my room, placing her on the bed.

I grabbed a towel out of the bathroom and brought it back to dry her off.

~5 minutes later~

After I finished drying her, I went in my closet to get her something to wear until her clothes were done. I grabbed a t-shirt and some sweats.

I put the clothes on her. They were a little baggy on her, but she was going to have to make it work.

After just sitting there for a couple minutes, I decided to get us something to eat.

I grabbed my keys and headed out the door, making sure to lock the door behind me.

I hopped in my car and headed towards Zaxby's.

Essence's POV

I woke up from the longest nap I've ever taken.

As I looked around, I started to panic. I didn't know where I was. I then started to have flashbacks of what happen. 'I wonder who saved me', I thought. Then I stared hard at the pictures on the wall and noticed it was Jaiden!

"I have to get the hell out of here," I said to myself. I looked down at my clothes and saw that they weren't my clothes! That means he saw me naked!

I started looking for my phone and saw that it was on the bedside table. I saw that I had a missed call from Mom.

Right when I was about to call her back, I heard the door open, indicating someone was coming in. I immediately tensed up until I heard a familiar voice.

"It's okay ma, it's just me," I heard Jaiden say. I instantly let out a sigh of relief.

Being as greedy as I am, I smelled food. It smelled like Zaxby's teriyaki wings. My favorite. How did he know?!

We stared at each other for what seemed like forever.

"Care to tell me how I got here," I asked. "Long story short, I saved you," Jaiden responded, placing the food on the bed. "Okay sooooo, what about the guy," I asked confused. "Duh, I shot that nigga dead," he said with a dumbass look on his face. I swear my eyes popped out of my head. "Well what did you expect me to do," he said. "Uh call the police," I responded with a questionable tone. "Girl you obviously know nothing about me," Jaiden said, shaking his head.

"This is crazy, I'm calling my mom," I said dialing her number, until he snatched the phone out of my hand. "What are you doing," I yelled at him. "You can't tell your mom what happen because she'll call the police," he said. "And," I asked. "I don't need any attention from the cops," he explained. "Well how am I suppose to explain to her why I was gone so long," I aksed. "Tell her you decided to spend the night with one of your girlfriends or something," he said, shrugging his shoulders. I just stared at him blankly. "You can always stay here with me," he said with a grin on his face. "To Kia's house I go," I said bluntly.

He handed me back my phone.

I turned my back to him to call my mom.

Jaiden's POV

I watched as Essence talked to her mom. When she hung up, I quickly pulled out my phone to pretend I wasn't listening to her conversation.

"Well since I got that over with, I'm leaving," she said, putting her shoes on. She grabbed her food and started to walk out, but she stopped dead in her tracks. "Where are my clothes," she asked. "Across the hall," I responded.

When I heard her going down stairs, I remembered she didn't have a ride, so I chased after her. "Aye, you need a ride," I asked her. "Hell no, the fuck I look like," she said, turning her lip up at me. "Walk then," I said laughing. She smacked her teeth and continued walking down the stairs. I soon heard the door close.

I laid on my bed and decided to text Jakayla go see what was up with her. I also decided to text Tracy in the process since I didn't get my sloppy toppy today.

~Conversation with Jakayla~
BigSisKay: I called to tell you I was coming home this weekend to pick up a few more things.....and I was hoping we could have a brother sister day?

Me: I guess I'll invest some time in yo big headed ass lol.....

BigSisKay: Lol whatever. I'll be down there Saturday morning.

Me: Okay
~end of that conversation~
I went to Tracy's name in my contacts. I was going to call her, but I decided to text her.
~conversation with Tracy~
Me: Aye girl, wyd?

Hoe1: Watchin tv......you still got that bitch at your house?

Me: Man chill with all that......but I'm coming to scoop you up

Hoe1: Whatever
~end of conversation~
I would let her drive here, but I can't have her raggedy ass car in my yard.

I grabbed my keys and was about to walk out the door, but I saw Essence standing there, about to knock.

I greeted her with a big smile. "I knew you wanted to stay with Daddy J," I said, trying to hug her. She pushed me off of her. "You were seriously gonna make me walk," she asked, completely ignoring what I said. "I really was," I said chuckling. "Just take me to Kia's house," she said, walking towards my car. "You lucky I was on my way out," I said laughing, walking behind her.

You guys, it took me for fucking ever to get this chapter done!!! Like literally. I wanted to try and do a long chapter and here it is. My body is just aching from doing this chapter. Anything for my babies though. Until next time......
