Chapter 7

Mina's POV

After I woke up from my nap, I decided to take a shower. I just feel dirty for some reason.

I grabbed my Victoria Secret body wash, towel, a wash rag and went into the bathroom.

As I was scrubbing my body, I started to think about today. All of the girls were talking about boys and when they asked me, I didn't know what to say. I do like someone, but it's more to the story. I'll eventually tell them when I'm ready.

I stepped out the shower and wrapped my towel around myself. I heard someone bust in my room. "Dinner is ready Mamacita", my sister Niña yelled. I just nodded my head so she can get out.

Jaiden's POV

My personal alarm clock woke me up. I got up, did my hygiene and slipped on some sweats, Polo shirt with my one's.

~1 hour later~

I pulled up to the school and just sat in my car. I reached into my arm rest and grabbed a NewPort. I smoke cigarettes not weed. Marijuana really isn't my thing.

After I smoked my port, I went in the school. As I went to my locker, everybody was staring at me. I'm use to it though. I saw 3 people standing by my locker. I already know it's Von, Tay and Quan.

We stood there and talked until the bell rung.

I was happy to go to first period since my baby sat in front of me. Well, she's not my baby......YET!

I stepped into the classroom, sat behind Essence and immediately started playing in her hair.

She turned around and spoke to me. "I just want to thank you for helping me yesterday I really appreciate it foreal", she said sincerely. "No problem Ma", I responded. I noticed she covered her bruises with makeup. "Quiet", Mr. Powell bitch ass said. I had to physically hold my lips together to keep from cussing him out.

About 30 minutes into class, Essence slid me a note. How can I repay you? I leaned forward and whispered in her ear, "your number". She ripped a corner off of her paper and wrote it down.

I took the paper and thanked her.

Essence's POV

I decided to give Jaiden my number. I mean, he DID save me. I don't see any harm in friendly conversation.

~lunch~

When I sat down with my salad, I felt my edge plus vibrate. An unfamiliar number popped up on my screen. I knew it was Jaiden.

Jaiden😜; Shid, nothing just coolin. How's the salad???
Me; Nasty asf but ima eat it though
Jaiden😜; Smh, greedy ass. Well FRIEND, do you want to hang out next weekend?
Me; I see you move quick! I'll think about it lol
Jaiden😜; Okay FRIENNNDDD!
~end of conversation~

"Mhmm, what the hell you smiling at", Mina blurted out. I just shook my head and grinned.

I decided to change the subject because these hoes were going to hound me. "So Kia, Tay got some good dick or what because I see you walking funny", I said, being childish. "Man that nigga put it down", she responded.

All of us busted out laughing. Kia is CRAZY! I then remembered that I needed to have a talk with Mina.

"Mina, text me after school so we can talk", I whispered in her ear. She just nodded her head.

We all talked until it was time for fourth period.
