His Ride or Die

Chapter 9

Essence POV

I was laying in bed, watching the BET channel when I got a text. I grabbed my phone off my side table, and checked it. I saw it was from Mina.

~conversation~
Mina: Hey Ess! Meet me at the abandoned house in your neighborhood
Me: Be there in 5
~end of conversation~

I slipped on my slides, grabbed my phone and went downstairs. "Mom Dad, I'm going to meet Mina", I yelled. I didn't know where they were but I know they heard me.

When I got around the corner, I saw Mina sitting on the porch, waiting on me. Her back was turned so I decided to sneak up on her. I pinched her butt, which caused her to jump, damn near swinging at me. I died laughing.

"So what you needed to talk to me about", she asked. "Well the other day when I asked about you being interested in someone, you just cut your eyes," I reminded her. "What was that about," I asked her, getting to the point.

She took a deep breath, and walked to the edge of the porch. "Okay look Ess, I do have something going on with someone", she explained. I moved my hands signaling her to give me a better explanation. "I will explain everything when the time is right, if you just give me some time", Mina said, grabbing my hands. "Okay," I said, nodding my head. "Ok girl, I have to go", she said after a few minutes. "Okay love you," I said  smiling. "Love you more", she yelled excited.

Mina POV

I hopped in my car, and drove to the deserted park.

Right when I pulled up, I saw Chris's car. I parked my car, jumped out, and ran into Chris's arms.

After squeezing the life out of each other, we kissed for what seemed like forever.

I swear I love this girl. Yes, I'm in love with another female. Chris treats me like a queen, and I don't want to lose her.

"Babe, I'm sorry I'm late, Essence needed to talk to me," I explained. "So did you tell her about us", Chris asked. I just shook my head no. It hurt me to my heart that no one  knows about us. "Mina, I'm sick of hiding our relationship, I don't think I can hide this much longer", Chris explained frustrated. "Chris just give me some time because this whole situation is new to me," I responded. "Okay whatever I have to go", she said, pecking my lips and leaving.

I sat there thinking about my situation. I love Chris with all my heart, but she doesn't realize how hard it is for me to tell my people. I feel like my friends will judge me, my family will stop speaking to me, and the school will humiliate me. This is just too much for me to handle, and I didn't think Chris understands that.

I grabbed my purse, got in my car, and headed home before Niña started blowing up my phone.

In due time....

Quan POV

I smiled at my phone as I heard Niña's voice through the phone. I swear she has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.

"Helloooo is anybody there", Niña said. "Oh my bad wassup Ma," I said, with a huge smile on my face. "Nothing just coolin watching a movie", she responded. "Hmmm and what movie is that," I asked. "A Thin Love Between Love and Hate", Niña answered.

~2 hours later~

"Sissy dinner is ready," I heard Mina yell in the background. "Thank God, because I'm starving," Niña responded.

"Okay Quan I'll talk to you later", she said. "Okay Ma just text me later," I responded.

I then heard the dial tone. Damn, I guess shorty was hungry. I didn't get an I love you or nothing. I'm hurt.

I clicked on my tv, and started watching SpongeBob.
