Chapter 3

Gabby POV
I was helping casey and I got him out and called for shay to put him on a stretcher, we put him in the ambo and I hopped in the back. "Come on Matt not like this" I said having tears in my eyes.
At the hospital:
I was leaning against the wall waiting for news on casey. Just the the doctor walks out and says "he is in emergency surgery..." And that's all I heard till I ran off to his room I heard everyone from 51 calling after me but I was just focused on Matt I got there and put my hands over my mouth and I just wished he was ok.

2 months later...
Matt POV
" hey lieutenant" Herrmann says as I walk in and all I think about is gabby I need to talk to her. "Yeah hi Herrmann" I say as I walk to the locker room and text gabby
Text conversation:
Matt: where r u I need to talk to u
Gabby: walking to lockers. Ok meet me in ur office in 10 minutes
Matt: ok see u there
End of conversation
I walk to my office and sit at my desk and wait for gabby.
Gabby POV
I finish getting changed and walk to Casey's office I get stopped by shay, "hey where are u going that you need to be in such a rush?" Shay asks
"Casey's office he wanted to talk to me" I say back and continue walking and I knock on his office door and surprisingly I'm nervous about what he has to talk to me about.
"Come in"
I walk in and I sit on his cot
"Dawson I want to talk to you about..." He starts but trails off. "About what casey?"
"About us, you wouldn't have come in and save me if you didn't have feelings a for me" he says
"Yeah about that.." I start but he cuts me off with a kiss. It was short but passionate.
"Sorry" is all he says.
" no it's fine I liked it"
After that he kissed me again and then all I remember is that he shuts the blinds and locks the door and we are making out in his office.
10 minutes later
General POV
"Has anyone seen casey or dawson?" Chief asks
" I saw her 10 minutes ago going to talk to casey about something" shay says
Gabby POV
"Before we get caught I recommend we stop" I say
" ok fine I will see you soon and I will fix that window of yours" he says and I walk out of his office.
Shay walks up to me and says " your shirt is untucked" "thanks" I say as I tuck it back in.
After shift:
Gabby's apartment
Gabby POV
Since Matt was coming I go into my closet and grab my little black dress and take my hair out of its ponytail and put some red lipstick on and like on cue the door bell rings I walk to the door and Matt is in a tight blue shirt and black jeans and a leather jacket on with a case of beer in his hands. All I want to do is kiss him. And it's like he read my mind he put the beer on the table and pushed me up against the wall as he started kissing me and one thing lead to another and next thing I know is that we are in the bedroom ripping each other's  clothes off.
Morning
Matt POV
I roll over so I am against gabby's back and kiss her shoulder "morning" I say as I kiss her," hey" she says as she rubs her eyes." Do you want to get dressed and we can head back to my house and and hang out there till next shift" I ask "yeah sure I will go have a shower and if you want you can join me" she says as she walks away in just a bra and underwear. I decided not to take up on her offer and instead make her breakfast. So I walk downstairs and when I'm done I walk upstairs to put the tray on the bed. Next all I see if gabby in just a towel looking in her drawers to find something to wear. Once she does we get into my truck and I see her hand on the seat and I grab her hand in mine and she doesn't let go so now I know it's the right time to ask her. "Hey gabby, I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?" I ask. "Yeah of course" then we are at my place and I grab her bags and we walk into my apartment.
Next shift:
Gabby POV
Me and Matt are running around his apartment looking for clothes for shift today because we are running late, "hey babe" I yell downstairs," yeah babe?" Casey questions as he walks upstairs, "I can't find my jacket do you have one I could wear" I say as he looks for something in his closet "yeah here wear this" he says as e hands me his lieutenant jacket. I put it in and we are running out to matts truck. 
At the fire house:
" gabby I never new you were lieutenant" shay says as I ask her " can you get Every onein the common room casey and I want tell everyone something" "yeah sure"  and she walks off
"Hey babe can we tell everyone now I just told shay to get everyone in to the common room." I say "yeah" he says as we walk into the common room as Matt starts "gabby and I are dating" and then the room is filled with 'congratulations' and 'good for you guys'
The we go and get changed out before we get any calls. I get changed into the paramedic uniform and I am still wearing matts jacket because it's cold in here.
Matt POV
I love it when gabby wears my clothes and then when she walks out of the locker room I see her still in my jacket I smile as she looks at me.
"Hey gabby I never knew you were lieutenant?" Herrmann jokes
"Yeah gabby when did you become a firefighter and upgrade faster than me" I say as I walk behind her and grab her shoulders and hug her From behind. Everyone laughs at my comment. I am standing with gabby and her was on my shoulder till shay pulls her away to et gas for the rig. I run up to her and say "be careful out there babe" as I kiss her " you too"
"Hey lieutenant, we told you that you and dawson would get together didn't we?" Herrmann questions "yeah ok whatever, I need a cup of coffee" I say walking off to the kitchen.
