"I love you." She said at one point of time. "You and your brother are the best thing that has ever happened to me and your dad." She would continue on making the 9-year-old Kirsten cheerful.
Kirsten was always a happy child until the buts started coming. "I love you Kirsten, but you have to stop doing that." She would say when Kirsten would be so happy from something that happened at school that day and she wanted to share by jumping up and down and screaming from joy.
9-year-old Kirsten didn't know much about why her Mom left for no reason, when her Dad tried to explain it to her, it still didn't make any since to her, seeing as her Mom seemed as she loved her before the change of attitude with the buts after her saying 'I love you'.
All present 17-year-old Kirsten wanted to know was: "did she ever really love me?"
