***********5 years later********

I haven’t seen my mother since that night, but we owl every Saturday. I’ve lived with the Weasleys for 5 years now and Witty just brought my letter from Hogwarts. It was so exciting because for the past few years, I’ve watched enviously as Percy, Fred and George went. Now Ron and I got our letters and were on our way to Diagon Alley.

“Molly, I can’t ask you to pay for me.” I looked up at the woman who had been my mother for all of these years. She wasn’t as tall as I recalled when I first met her, but she was still the wonder woman that I first met.

“We’re going to Gringott’s, sweetheart. Your father left you a substantial amount of Galleons. I won’t have to.” She smiled.

“If that’s the case, why don’t I pay you? You know for all of the trouble?” My innocent yet mature with knowledge voice asked.

“Oh no!” She said sternly. “Hero, you are my daughter, even if you aren’t actually my daughter. Understand?” She raised her eyebrows in anger and I didn’t press the situation any longer.

I just nodded, not wanting to get Molly angry. Molly getting angry was worse than fighting off three dragons with a twig.

“Now come along. We need to get you robes, books, a new cage for Witty, and a wand. Yes a wand. Plus you’ll need a few other things as well. Don’t worry, I’ve been through this a million times!” She patted my back and ruffled Ron’s hair.

I looked over at my honorary brother, who was, at the moment, stuffing his face with Bertie Botts every flavor beans. I rolled my eyes and laughed as he got to the more unconventional flavors, such as earwax and vomit. It was very amusing.

“Well, come on!” Molly pushed us forward, impatiently. Many people on the streets greeted Molly, addressing her as Mrs. Weasley and then greeted Ron and I. They all knew me as a part of their family, but they also knew I wasn’t actually a part of the family. Everyone had bright red hair and I had golden locks that fell into soft waves at the lower part of my back.  I also had bright green eyes with layers of bright blue mixed in. In the inner parts of my eye, there was a bright neon purple ring that had resulted from the poison in the curse I had gotten when I was 7. I still had the very noticeable scar from my elbow to my shoulder and every now and then I could feel a sharp pain, but nothing I couldn’t handle.

We made it to Gringott’s and went inside. Inside were ugly looking goblins. Molly talked to them and after giving a hard glare at me, they reluctantly brought us to the vaults. Molly handed me a gold key and told me to wait in the railed cart as she went to her vault.

“Mum is a nut.” Ron muttered and I laughed. “She is amazing though. Aren’t you excited to finally be going to Hogwarts?!” I gave a wide grin to which he returned one.

“Of course! I can’t wait! I want to be able to learn how to get Fred and George back for their never ending pranks.” He sighed.

“I know! Just last week they charmed my shampoo so when I got out, my hair was green! I hid in my room as Ginny laughed at me, until the charm expired an hour later.” I grumbled and Ron was in hysterics.

“It’s not funny!” I snapped just as Molly came back.

“Let’s move on!” Molly told the grumpy goblin. He muttered incoherently for a second before moving the cart. We jolted forward again, my cheeks flapping by my ears.
