J.k. Rowling owns everything except Hero
*******4 years later*********
It’s the summer before our 5th year and all of us are rounding out our last few months as 15 year olds. I looked over to Ron as I thought back to first year. He had grown into a man and was much taller, though he still held onto his red hair and skinny frame. I myself had grown too. I was now a comfortable 5’5 height and my curves had filled out a lot if you know what I mean, though my hair and eyes stayed the same, as well as the deforming scar on my arm.
So much had happened in our years at Hogwarts. Harry battled the Basilisk and it turned out Ginny had been the one to open the Chamber of Secrets. It also came out that Harry was a Parselmouth. Then in our third year, we met Sirius Black, who turned out to be Harry’s Godfather and the one framed for the death of Harry’s parents. The real culprit had been Peter Pettigrew, who had been disguised as Ron’s pet Scabbers, which had been in our family for so long. We had learned of Hermione’s Time-Turner and went back in time to save Buckbeak and saved Sirius from the Dementor’s Kiss.
Last year was the Triwizard Tournament . Harry was selected through the work of Dark Magic; Mad-eye Moody had actually been imitated by the Minister’s son, who was a spy of Voldemorts. He wound up winning the Cup, but it was a port key. Cedric Diggory was killed by Voldemort though Harry got out; barely. It really messed up Harry to see Cedric die and we all tried to comfort him.
Right now we were at the secret hide-out of the secret organization, The Order of the Phoenix. Molly was in the group and right now, Ron, Hermione and I sat upstairs, nervously chattering. Harry was being retrieved by Professor Moody, Tonks, and a few others. Dumbledore had made us swear not to tell Harry anything while he was with the Dursleys for the summer. He thought if he was with muggles and kept in the dark he would be safe. And was Dumbledore ever wrong.
Harry had been attacked by a Dementor and illegally used the Patronus Charm. Mundungus was supposed to be on his shift, watching Harry, but he left early, leaving Harry to use drastic measures. I hated lying to Harry, but we did it to keep him safe, though now we realize what a mistake it was.
“He’s not going to be happy.” Hermione whispered, Ron nodding his head in agreement.
The dimly lit dusty room was cold with the feeling of regret. “I know.” I sighed. “I wanted to protect him, but instead it hurt him more.” I looked down at my hands.
Just then, we heard the front door open and froze. We knew that could only be Harry and the others and we all glanced at each other nervously. Soon we heard heavy steps coming up the stairs and I gulped and stood.
Harry opened the door, his eyes filled with resentment. He looked freezing, obviously from taking his broom over here in the cold, raining night. I grabbed a blanket from the bed and secured it around him. “Bloody hell! You look frozen solid.”
He didn’t thank me, he just looked between the three of us. Hermione tackled him into a hug. “Oh Harry! I’m so happy you’re here!” She grinned. “We heard about the Dementors! And the hearing- well that’s just absurd. No doubt that you will be acquitted.” She said as she hugged him. Harry smiled and grinned as Hedwig flew onto his shoulder.
“Hermione,” Ron chuckled and I joined him. “He can’t breathe.”
“Bloody bird has been giving us a royally hard time, Harry.” I smiled as I saw his expression, thinking he wasn’t mad at us, though it suddenly changed to something much harsher.
“Yes, well, I wanted answers from you all.” He snapped.
“Harry…” Hermione said solemnly.
“Sorry, but Dumbledore made us swear.” I cut in.
“Yeah, I know.” He hissed.
“Harry,” I said tiredly, reaching out to grab his shoulder, but he backed away.
Suddenly Harry exploded. “OBVIOUSLY IT WAS THE SAFEST THING TO KEEP ME IN THE DARK. WERE ANY DEMENTORS AT YOUR DOOR?!” He screamed sarcastically.
“I BET YOU THREE HAVE BEEN HAVING A JOLLY GOOD TIME, LAUGHING IT UP. ‘STUPID HARRY, HE DOESN’T KNOW ANYTHING.’ I’VE BEEN WITH THE BLOODY DURSLEYS WHILE YOU THREE GET TO STAY HERE, ALL NICE AND COZY. WHO FOUGHT VOLDEMORT?! WHO TOLD YOU HE WAS BACK?! ME! I DID! BUT WHY SHOULD I GET TO KNOW?!” He was breathing hard and cold resentment shot from him.
“Harry, we don’t know much of anything. We aren’t allowed in the meetings. Any information we have is from Fred and George’s Extendable Ears.” Ron said quietly.
“So you still know more than me.” He growled.
“Oh Harry, shut up! You’re being a git right now, you know!” I yelled. “You have no idea how much we wanted to tell you!” Tears started to form in my eyes. “But we thought it would keep you safe if we didn’t. If we had known this was to happen, we would have told you in a heartbeat.”
Harry softened at this. “Hero…” Harry’s eyes softened and he sighed.
“I know, I guess. I just feel isolated. Like a tossed piece of garbage.” He admitted.
“Harry, you know that could never happen. You are Harry freaking Potter!” I smiled at him and he smiled a bit as well. Ron and Hermione smiled as well.
Suddenly Fred and George apparated into the room. They had been extremely annoying since they had passed their Apparation test.
“Hello Harry.” They said synchronized.
“You shouldn’t scream like that.” Fred said.
“It’s not good for your health.” George finished.
Harry rolled his eyes. Ginny walked in too. “Hello Harry.” She grinned and gave him a light hug. “I thought I heard you.”
We all talked, and we explained things to Harry. Then we touched the subject of Percy. As I told my real mother in one of my many letters, Percy was my least favorite of my brothers. I laughed at the situation in my head. I told my real mother about my fake – real brothers. It was just funny. Arthur and Percy had gotten into a fight of all fights and now the name Percy was basically banned in this house.
Percy had called Arthur an idiot and that he would go down with Dumbledore. He said the reason the Weasleys were so poor was because Arthur had no ambition and was a blood-traitor. With my temper, I snapped. I told Percy, with hot tears in my eyes that he didn’t deserve to be a Weasley and he didn’t deserve a father like Arthur. Then he told me I was just like Arthur, an idiot; because I hung out with Harry Potter.
He said Harry was an attention seeking liar and then I burst out in tears and Arthur screamed at him some more. Molly ushered me out of the room to calm me down.
Harry softened and placed a hand on top of mine as he heard this. I smiled weakly at him. Then Hermione explained to him about the paper, who now had dubbed him, The Boy Who Lies. It was no doubt something that Fudge, the Minister of Magic, was doing to discredit Harry and we were all infuriated.
Harry was angered as well, that dirt had fallen upon his name. He was no liar.
Hey! I hope you all liked it. Please leave a comment or something and tell me if you liked it; whether I should continue it ..etc.
