Chapter ten

Hello beautifuls!!! Sorry haven't posted in a while!!!! I'm back again though!!!

What do y'all think of me putting a song at the beginning if each chapter?

I love to read your fabulous comments and I gladly take suggestions on how I should improve the story!!!

"Finally." He whined walking out of the barn with me.

I giggled at him and stepped in front of the two men.

"Come with me and you can pick your horses."

They nodded and followed closely behind me as I stepped into the barn. I was slightly uncomfortable with how close they were to me so I stopped.

"You can choose now."

They nodded and I walked by them. I felt a slight pinch to my bum causing me to shriek and jump slightly. I turned around to see the man with dark brown eyes winking at me. I rolled my eyes and whispered angrily under my breath then went to stand by Niall.

I saw they picked Max and Winston so I saddled them up and led them outside with help from Niall.

I still wasn't sure about him. If he was still going to kill me or not so I was always cautious around him.

I mounted Black Thorne and after everyone else was mounted and ready, we crossed the road and set foot onto the trail.

It was a windy trail that led through the woods, across a river, and into an open field (A/N: To grandmas house we go😂) with a perfect view of the lake with the Rockies in the background. It was personally my favorite place to go.

To think.

Clear my mind.

Be free.

It was perfect.

I was in front with buzz cut dude behind me and dark brown eyed behind him and Niall in the back.

"So what are your names?" I inquired turning around completely on my horse so that my back was propped against the horn of the saddle.

Buzz cut cocked his head at my strange position, but I've taught Black Thorne this path so many times, I can do whatever I please.

"Um, I'm Sam and this is Judd."

I nodded my head they sounded slightly familiar, but I couldn't quite place them.

Niall pov

No.

No.

No.

This can't be happening.

What are they doing here?

Belle squinted her eyes slightly as she thought then turned around on her horse as we crossed the shallow river.

She didn't know them.

How could she not know them?

Sam was from my agency and Judd was from a different one.

Why were they working together?

Why would boss send out another agent?

Did he not trust me?

These thoughts were interrupted by a sweet voice calling out.

"We're here."

I looked up to see the most beautiful sight ever. The light glistened off the lake with the reflection of the mountains rippling through. The sun shone brightly above them accenting their beauty.

It was breath taking.

I have no words except.

Wow.

I snapped from my thoughts again as I heard feet pounding the ground signaling everyone was dismounting.

"We will take a small break here and enjoy the view." Belle said, smiling sweetly.

She pet her horse and took something out of the saddle bag, walking over to a rock sitting down. Black Thorne walked over by her and just stood. She giggled and pet him before going back to whatever she was doing. I saw Sam walking towards me.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned as he neared me.

"Oh well boss doesn't trust you with girl targets any more ever since what happened last time. So he sent me."

I closed my eyes remembering then opened them again giving him a death glare.

"What is he doing here then?"

"Our agencies teamed up. You really didn't expect it would just be us that wanted the person that killed the biggest mobster do you?"

I clenched my teeth and looked back over to see Belle just enjoying the sight around her. I smiled slightly then snapped back to reality.

"You know it's wrong. She was just doing her job." I defended her.

"See this is why boss sent me. Just don't get in our way." He glared at me and I stood and walked over to Belle.

She looked up at me and quickly shoved whatever was in her hand to the side out of view, looking up innocently. I raised my eyebrow at her and she let out a nervous laugh.

"You know who there are?" She questioned.

I nodded and she sighed, pulling it back out.

It was a gun.

"Just precaution. You know." She said looking down.

I took her chin in between my fingers raising her head to meet my eyes. "I know."

She smiled slightly and stood up. "Well, we should head back now."

We turned to see Sam and Judd sitting in the far corner of the field talking. We stood and faced our backs to them.

Big mistake.
