Michael Clifford was my best friend and he has been for as long as I can remember. I trust him with everything and he's the only person who will have Awkward marathons with me. He has seen me in all my worst states and all of my best. We were sitting at my dining room table doing our homework after school.

"Cody. I totally saw you staring at Luke today in science. It was disgusting." Michael said to me. Ever since I told him I had a crush on the Luke Hemmings, he won't stop teasing me about it. Luke Hemmings was every girl's dream boy. Luke was tall with legs longer than my life expectancy. He had a blonde quiff and the brightest, dreamiest blue eyes. Michael on the other hand, was short and had crazy spikey hair that he dyed a different color each month.

"He got his lip pierced last week." I say defensively.

"Oh great, now he'll look even more like a fuckboy." Michael never liked Luke, I never understood why.

"Ya well maybe you're just jelous about how much he gets laid." I snap.

"Ew, do you know how many STDs he probably has. No thank you. I am not jelous." He scrunches up his face in disgust. His nose looks so cute when he does that.

"Well, when Luke and I get married, you won't be invited to our wedding." I knew I didn't have a chance with him but I know it annoys Michael.

"Isn't he dating that cheerleader?" Michael got up and headed to the kitchen.

"Um. Ya." I sigh, following behind Michael.

"She's an airhead but I'll give him some credit because she's kinda hot." He grabs two pudding cups out of the fridge and hands one to me along with a spoon.

"Kinda hot my ass." I mumble, shoving some pudding into my mouth.

"Ya, I'd say your ass is kinda hot." he says, slapping my ass.

"Michael!" I squeal, slapping his chest.

"Watcha gonna do about it?" He smirked at me.

"This." I scoop up a big spoonful of pudding onto my spoon and fling it at his face. He gasped, looking at me with pudding globbed on his face.

"Oh its on!" Michael shakes his head with an evil smirk as he flings a spoonful of pudding at me. It hit me right on the eye. I wiped it off and got another revengeful spoon of pudding ready to fling.

"Michael. You suck!" I say as I fling it at him. He dodges it and runs behind the kitchen island.

"Ya I get that a lot." He flings another spoonful at me and it hits me right on the boob. We were both out of pudding at this point. He walks over to me and looks down at my chest.

"Bullseye. Do you want me to help you get that off?" he smirks, looking into my eyes. I never realized how beautiful his eyes were. They weren't as bright as Luke's but they had a hint of mystery in them.

"I think I got it." I whisper with a smile, not breaking eye contact with him. He slowly leans down and I close my eyes, not fully understanding what was happening.

"Hey guys!" Ashton bursts though the door. Ashton is one of our best friends but he can be annoying sometimes. Michael and I break apart, looking around awkwardly. Michael scratched the back of his neck while I played with the hem of my shirt. Ashton smiled at us. Somehow he didn't seem to notice the awkward tension from the almost kiss Michale and I just had. He was completely oblivious.

"Did I interrupt something?" Ashton chirped while walking to the kitchen to grab a pop from the fridge. I bit my lip, glancing at Michael not wanting him to see me looking. How could I kiss my best friend? I like Luke not Michael.
