The next day was painfully long. Fridays usually are. Every time I glance at the clock the minute hand seems to always be in the same place as it was the last time I checked. Lunch finally came and I went to my usual spot with Michael and Ashton under the bleachers. Somehow someone put a picnic table under the bleachers years ago for whatever reason and now we just eat there everyday. Its perfct because nobody bothers us there and it makes us feel safe. Not that we're scared of the lunchroom but all of us are pretty socially awkward. Its just easier this way.

"So what are we going to do tonight?" Ashton asks. Us three literally do everything together. Sometimes we joke about getting new friends but all we really need is each other. For some weird reason we don't get sick of each other.

"My parents are going to be gone tonight and we could go buy some alcohol." Michael gave us a devilish smile.

"How? We aren't old enough." I asked. We usually just took it from our parents.

"We could have Ashton go buy a fake ID. He looks the oldest." Michael suggested.

"I am not buying a fake ID for you. I can barely afford bus fare!"

"Yup and that's why I drive you everywhere. Okay you won't have to buy a fake ID, I think I have some beer or something."

"Guys..." Ashton trailed off. Whenever we suggest drinking, Ash always protests. It usually ends up being just me and Michael getting drunk together and doing stupid things. As fun as that is, we've always been trying to get Ash to join us. I don't think the boy has ever been drunk before.

"Ash! It will be fun, trust me. You can't go through high school without getting drunk. You're going to have a hard time in college." I try to persuade him, running my fingers through my short hair.

"I mean we aren't going to peer pressure you, Ash. But it isn't going to be very fun if you're the only one sober." Michael chimes in.

"Actually I think that would be hilarious." Ashton laughs. I can just imagine him taking videos of Michael and I completely shitfaced then laughing about it.

"Getting drunk is a lot of fun, mate. Just saying." Michael states.

"I'll think about it." He gives in.

"Yes! He said he'll think about it!" Michael cheers. He then turns to me and repeats it. "He said he'll think about it!"

"I know." I laugh at my weird friend as Ash gives me a sour face. At that, we hear the lunch bell ring.

We all meet at Michael's car after school. Ashton calls shotgun and I give him a scowl as he sticks his tounge out at me. When ever Ashton sits shotgun he plays his bad music. And when I say bad music, I mean Arianna Grande.

"I'VE GOT ONE LESS PROBLEM WITHOUT YOU!" He screams loudly. Michael didn't like Arianna Grande but he seemed to be finding it funny. He rolled down all the windows and blasted the high pitched music even louder. I sit in the back seat, laughing at the two as they sang their hearts out. People gave us judgmental looks but we don't care. We pull up to Michael's driveway and the music cuts off as we get out of the car. Instead of going through the front door like we normally do, Michael walks around the house to the backyard. We follow him.

"Where are we going?" I ask him.

"To the granny flat." He responds.

"Oh is that what that little house back there is called? I've always wondered." Ashton says. We start walking to the little house that Michael's grandma used to live in.

"Don't you have to get the drinks?" I question him.

"Ya I'll go grab them. You guys can head to the flat." Michael said and jogged to the house. Ashton and I started walking again. We went inside of the flat and starting making small talk."
