Emily's POV.

"Did you see the paper today?" Hanna asks me cautiously.

"Yeah...two years." I reply.

"H-how..how are you? How do YOU feel em?"

"Truthfully, I don't feel anything."

Emptiness, is what I feel deep down, but I don't tell.

Hanna starts to talk again.

"They're still looking, they've moved well out of rosewood now an-"

I cut her off.

"I know the truth Han. You do too, we all do. Even the police know, I don't even know why they are still looking for her. She's gone, dead. The sooner we face that the better." I say, a little too aggressively.

I immediately feel guilty for snapping at Hanna. It's not her fault, after all.

"I'm sorry. I just.. You know how I feel. You know how I feel talking about it - the situation. And talking about.. Her."

"It's okay em. Don't worry about it. You have us, me, Aria, Spencer, always. I know how you felt towards Alison, we all do."

I freeze when I hear her name.

My heart skipped a beat. We haven't spoke about her in a long time. The girls knew how I felt about her and so they purposely didn't mention her.

Truth is: it's been 2 years. 2 years ago a group of 5 of us went down to 4. Two parents lost their daughter. We lost our best friend. I lost my -

Nevermind.

2 whole years, and not a day goes by when she doesn't cross my mind.
