"I Don't See Why You Always Have To Pull My Hair. Now Its Messed Up."

"Aight. Next Time I'm Just Gon Make You Wait." Twenty Minutes Had Turned Into Almost An Hour And I Was Tired. All I Wanted To Do Was Go To Sleep.

"When I Want It I Get It. Ain't No Holding Out Bih." I Joked Earning A Laugh From Tre.

"Whatever. Where Ya Other Earring Ma?"

"Dammit Tre."

"Sorry."

"Let's Just Go. We Probably Already Missed Dinner." I Put Back On My Heels And Sprayed On A Gang Of Perfume Before We Headed Back Into The Venue.

It Was Like Everything Changed. There Was Nothing But A Long Row Of Tables In The Middle Of The Room. And Smaller Tables Out The Outer Parts For The Kids. All Eyes Lande On Me And Tre. Nae Ran To Us And I Could See My Brother Smirking And Laughing Under There Breath.

Asswhipes.

"Your Lipstick Is Smeared And Tre You Have Hickies."

"So Embarrassing." I Covered My Face.

"At Least They Know I'm Yours." Tre Said Before Walking To His Seat Next To Ian. I Shook My Head.

"Bathroom." Me And Nae Walked To The Restrooms. I Fixed My Lipstick And A Few Strands Of Hair Before We Were Graced With The Presence Of Niya , Toni Braxton, And Tamar Braxton. Good Lord They Were Gorgeous.

"Was It Good?" Was How Sha'Niya Greeted Me.

"Oh My. You Ladies Really Are Triplets." Toni Spoke, Smiling At Us.

"I'm Glad I'm Seeing It Now Because A While Ago I Thought I Had Too Many Drinks And Was Seeing Things." We All Laughed At Tamar's Statement.

I Stuck My Hand Out First.

"Shar." I Told Them. I Only Knew Them From Their Shows Braxton Family Values And Tamar&Vince. I Was Not Giving Them My Real Name. They Didn't Seem Like The Scheming Type But You Could Never Be Too Sure.

"Nae."

"Nae, Niya, And Shar." Toni Onced Over Earning Headnods From Me And My Sisters.

"Look. This Food Is Not The Business. How Y'all Feel About Leaving And Getting Some Chicken?" Tamar Suggested.

"As Long As Its Popeye's." I Told Her.

"Me And You Are Going To Get Long Just Fine." I Agreed With Tamar. She Was A Cool Chick.

...

"OMG. Mama Tamar Is Eating With Us. At Popeye's!" The Twins Lil Niya And Beautii Stated The Obvious Excited To Sha'Niya.

"Can I Sing For Her?"

"Baby She's Trying To Eat. Go And Finish Your Chicken."

"We Done." They Answered Simultaneously. I Giggled Even Though Sha'Niya Looked As If She Was Finna Cuss The Twins Out In 2.5 Seconds.

"Its Fine. Go Ahead And Sing Girls."

"Well Only I Sing." Aniyah Told Her. "I'm More An Actress." Trinity Exclaimed. Over The Years We Had Learned That Aniyah Was The More Excited One While Trinity Had More Of A Serious Personality. Even Though They Were So Different They Grew Up To Look Just Alike And Beautiful As Can Be. I Was Just Glad Beautii Had A Mole On Her Face So We Could Tell Them Apart.

"Well Who Ever Wants To Go First."

"Auntie Can You Sings With Me?" Aniyah Asked Me. I Looked At Her Baffled. I Only Sang When I Put The Kids To Bed And On Holidays. I Couldn't Believe She Just Put Me On Upstreet Like That.

"You Can Sing?" Toni And Tamar Asked Me.

"Well--"

"Yes. Auntie Has The Most Amazing Voice Ever. She Write Songs And When I Was Younger She Used To Sing Me And My Cousins And My Siblings To Sleep.

Really

"Please Auntie?" Somehow All Eyes Were On Me. Even Lena's. I Think They Set This Shit Up.

"Gonna Be Okay On Three."

"Okay." Aniyah Said Before I Counted To Three And Started Off.

I Don't Know Why You Look So Sad.

You Got Your Head Down In Your Hands And Your Crying Out Loud

Screaming That He Did It Again

Took Your Love, Used You Up

And Ran Back To The Other Chick

I Let Aniyah Handle The Rest Seeing As Though Her Nervousness Geared Away Into An Unknown Land And She Was Singing Her Little Heart Out. When I Discovered That She Could Sing We Would Stay Up On Some Occasions Just To Sing To Each Other. Sometimes Changing The Moment Into A Game. If I Won She Had Always Come Back With Something Better The Next Time And I Always Gave Her Her Props. She Was Talented And I Loved That We Shared That Bond. Just Like Me And My Mother Did.

"That Was Amazing Aniyah." Tamar Complimented. Aniyah Said Her Thank You And Just Skipped Right Back To Her Seat Along With Her Sister.

"Your Daughter Has Talent." Toni Spoke And Eyed Aniyah Who Was Laughing At Something Nathan Had Done.

"Thank You."

"You Ever Thought About Letting Her Professionally Sing?" Tamar Asked.

"Umm. No. She's Far Too Young."

That May Have Been One Reason But I Knew It Wasn't All. True Is. We Have Too Many Enemies. Enemies That Didn't Care And Sometimes Grew The Balls To Test Us And Our Patience. Sha'Niya Would Never Out Aniyah Or Trinity Or Jer'Maine In A Position At Such A Young Age Knowing That They Couldn't Fully Protect Themselves. Ian On The Other Hand Was A Grown Man And Could Very Well Look After Himself In Many Environments. But The Kids. No Way. They Were Too Young.

"I Understand. But If You Ever Decide Too You'll Have My Number. She's A Gifted Little Girl."

"Thank You."

"No Problem."

I Sat At The Table And Thought About The Many Possibilities That Life Could Bring My Family And How Many Of Them We Would Have To Sacrifice To Keep Each Other Safe. I Hate That Me And My Sisters Choices Are Now Affecting Our Babies But We Can Only Blame Ourselves. The Only Things We Could Do Now Is Raise These Kids To Be Successful With A Legal Job And Not Like Us When We Were Younger.

"Ma You Good?" Tre Asked Me.

"Yes. The Kids Almost Done?" I Asked Before Looking Around Realizing That Everyone Was Headed Out Of The Fast Food Restaurant.

"Oh. Come On."

"Shardae. You Sure You Okay?"

"Yes. Come On I'm Sure Everyone Is Waiting For Us." I Assured Him Before Walking Past Him And Out The Door.

I Was Glad Once We Made It Home. The House Stood Peaceful Once Everyone Was Settled And The Kids Were Asleep. Tre Lay His Head On My Chest Whilst I Looked Up To The Ceiling In A Daze.

The House May Have Been Peaceful But My Mind Was Not.
