CHAPTER II

Aurora POV:

Saying goodbye was

the hardest thing to do.

I never thought I would,

especially not to you.

You've always listened

and knew what to say,

knew when to give a hug

when I was having a bad day.

No one will ever take your place...

I can always promise you this:

It's hard to find someone like you,

so know you will always be missed.

I folded up the piece of paper in my

hands and gently placed it in my

pocket.I sigh. I can feel the tears

threatening to fall. This is the sixth year

I've been here. It's all so familar... Too

familiar. The single white rose, the can of

coke and the beautiful yet sorrow filled

graveyard.I'm staring down at the tombstone.

I read it for what seems like the thousanth time.

"My beloved--"

I was ripped back into reality by my phone.

"Hello?" I whispered into the phone, as if

not to wake my loved one laying six feet

under me.

"WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN AURORA!?"

The voice was slurred. I immediately recognized it.

My eyes grew wide. My VERY drunk mother. But hey,

at least my dad isn't there.

"Mommy and Daddy are waiting for you!"

Shit. I totally jinxed that one.

"I-I'm on my way." I stuttered quickly.

I smashed at the end call button. Damnit.

I looked back down at the grass-covered grave and whispered "I love you."

I jumped up and ran to my car. Where are my keys?

"Aghh!" I dug through my pockets until I felt a key.

I hope i can get home before they get too pissed.

Eli POV:

"Eli! Please get the brown box from the car!"

"Sure mom!" I yelled back. I walked down

the stairs. Wait... Which way to the front door

again? God, I hate moving. I cant find a

single god damned thing!

"MOM!?" I yelled

"What?" she replied from somewhere upstairs.

"I'M LOST AND SCARED!" I yelled laughing, knowing

this would make her come faster, "Where's the front door?"

I heard laughing and footsteps. My mom came around

the corner and walked down the stairs. Honestly, she was
