"You look great hun." My dad said as I sat down at the breakfast table of our new home that we literally just moved into two days before.
"Thanks daddy." I said putting two pieces of bacon on my plate along with a piece of toast. He smiled at me before turning his attention back to his paper. Just as I reached to grab the orange juice from the middle of the table my big brother, Tyler, swooped in and took it drinking directly out of the carton.
"Dad!" I whined as Tyler sat it back on the table.
"Use a cup next time okay? Which reminds me your brother is picking you up from school today." my dad replied. In total I have five siblings. Four brothers, one sister.
"Gotcha!" Tyler said. Once we finished eating breakfast we got in the car and my dad drove us to school.
"Stick together?" I asked Tyler as my dad drove off. I'm not good in new situations and I have bad anxiety so who knows when I'll have an attack, Tyler completely understands it though.
"I've got you little sis." He said putting his arm around my shoulders. When we walked into the school there were different groups standing around talking. Tyler took his phone out and sent a text to someone.
"Let's go find your first class." He said after putting his phone back in his pocket and then holding his hand out for my schedule. I pulled it out and handed it to him. It took us 20 minutes, but we finally found it. The name of the class is challenge 101. Sounds interesting enough!
"My class is literally two doors down so wait for me here. Got it shorty?" He asked me and I nodded my head. When I walked into the class room I kept my head down and walked to the back row and sat down. I took out my pencil and notebook and then opened my new notebook to the very first page. At the two minute bell the class began to file in and there were so many conversations going on. Just as the last minute bell rang I looked up to see a boy about medium height with black hair walk in. The only seat left was next to me. When he sat down he smiled at me and I gave him a little smile back just as the door slammed.
"Is you okay? Is you good? Good cause I wanted to know! Welcome to class people!" A women, who I assumed who our teacher, said as she walked in.
"I'm Glozell and this is Challenge 101! Check your schedules and if you aren't in this class buh bye." She said waving. Only one students stood up and walked out the class. Once the door was closed she turned to face again.
"Meet the person you are sharing your table with. Introduce yourself and tell them why you are at this school. Ready go!" She said before the class erupted in giggles.
"Hi I'm Adam. I'm here because I love YouTube and I want to have a successful channel. You must be new." the dark haired boy next to me said.
"I'm Charlotte-Rose, but you can call me either Charli or Lottie. I guess I'm mainly here because of my brother." I said quietly.
"Nice to meet you. Do you have a YouTube channel?" He asked me and I shook my head.
"My brother does, but I'm not interesting enough for YouTube. Do you have a channel at the moment?" I asked him.
"Yeah I do have a channel. It's AbnormallyAdam. I'm sure you're interesting enough." He said bumping my shoulder and I gave him a small smile.
"Compared to my brother I'm not, but thanks anyway. When I get home I'll be sure to subscribe to your channel." I said and he thanked me right before our teacher, Glozell, told us to shut up in a nice way.
"Now that you know the person next to you they will be your partner for everything we do in this class, so I suggest no dating them or it may get awkward." She said and I let out a small chuckle. I have never had a boyfriend I doubt that would change now at a new school. At the end of class I took my time packing my things into my bag.
"Hey, um what's your number since you know we will be working together a lot." Adam said from his position next to me. I hesitated giving it to him, but then he assured me that he was strictly dickly. His words not mine. The two of us walked out into the hallway to find Tyler waiting for me with our cousin Zoey next to him.
"It was great meeting you. I guess I'll see you around." Adam said before turning to go in the other direction.
"Look at my baby cousin making friends on her first day." Zoe said as the three of us began to walk.
"He isn't a friend. He site next to me in class and we will always be partnered." I said to her and she nodded her head in a sarcastic manner.
"Well I don't like someone I don't know spending a lot of time with you." Tyler said hiking his backpack on his shoulder. Zoe let out a laugh causing the two of us to look at her in confusion.
"That is Adam. He is he would be more into you, Ty, than Char." Zoe said and Tyler got a mischievous look on his face.
"Then that changes everything! Have him over a lot." Tyler said and I rolled my eyes as Zoey showed me to the choir room. She had choir also so it was a huge sigh of release. I sat down in the front row next to her and she began to talk to her friends. I pulled out the new Sarah Dessen book 'Saint Anything' and began to read it. Suddenly all the girls around me began to whisper and giggle so I looked up and was surprised to see four very attractive people of the make variety walking in. I must have been staring because Zoe poked me into my side.
"I know their cute, but they are also know as One Direction. The most popular group of friends at school. They tend to just stick to the people they have grown up with their whole lives." Zoe said and I slowly closed my book.
"It's whatever anyways. Single life all the way." I said and she laughed just as our teacher walked to the front of the room.
"I am Mrs. Evans and this is how it's going to work this year! We are breaking out of our clicks and singing with new people. You will call me Colleen and you will have fun. That's about it so who wants to start off this morning?" she asked leaning against the piano.
