Chapter nine.

This is the dress that Emma (Taylor swift) wears further.

Emma's PoV

As soon as I entered my house I was blushing way too much which would be noticeable even to a blind person.
So it was understandable, rather expectable that Ethan was gonna notice it and was gonna ask me why was I blushing.
Just a few seconds after I assumed it, Ethan said, "what now? Why are you blushing so much? Did he kiss you ?" With his wiggling eyebrows.
I couldn't blush more. I said, "Whatt? Are you mad? H-he would k-kiss a girl like me!"
He just rolled his eyes and asked what happened.
I said, "Miles apologised to me and asked me to be his date for today.... "
Ethan gave me that naughty look with a huge smirk and asked, "So are you happy? Excited? Nervous?"
I thought for a moment, thinking what exactly I was feeling. I realised I could feel excited and warmth in my nerves. But in my mind i was terrifyingly nervous.
"I'm excitedly happily nervous ... If that makes sense...." I said with a nervous look and sweaty hands.
"Oh common! I know you're gonna rock tonight's party! You are gonna look the best tonight, I bet you. And yeah, Miles doesn't bite. So don't back up and be nervous okay? Now I've gotta go coz I have to get ready so tata!" He said, adding a wink.
He was going towards his room and I started walking towards mine.
I entered my room, dropping my bag and shoes off and thought of getting a long shower.
I went inside my bathroom, slowly undressing myself.
When I turned on the shower I could feel the warm water cooling my nerves down. It was so true. When you are nervous, just get a long hot shower and it always works.

I have always had a habit of listening to music when I'm taking a bath or shower. Right now, I was getting lost in the beats of 'Sun goes down' and warm water.
After five minutes I came out of the bathroom, wrapped in my towel, thinking what I'm gonna wear.
Arghh. This could seriously be a major drawback of being a girl. Lord please save me!
I mentally prayed.
I opened my wardrobe and started removing clothes that I loved. After 15 minutes, I had 4 shorts, 6 tank tops and t shirts, 2 skirts with their blouses and 4 dresses.
*sighs*
Yeah I have thousands of clothes but I still prefer wearing my jumper and pants. These clothes were bought by my parents who told me, like every single day, to wear them, but I didn't. I felt I look ugly and those clothes aren't made for a nerd like me.
They were made for stunners like Bianca and her minions.

I was deciding what to pick. I eliminated 3 shorts, 4tshirts, a skirt and 2 dresses. All of these were either causals or I'd look too over dressed in them.

There was a war going on in my mind when I heard the doorbell ring.  I was hoping it was Selena coz I'd totally love some girly help right here!
I ran down stairs and saw Selena talking to my mum dad.
She was wearing a beautiful white- creamish dress which looked just flawless. She had worn a small locket which was in shape of a heart, I remember Ethan had given her on her last birthday. Her hair was beautifully made into a crown shape braid. As soon as she saw me she started climbing up to my room with a sweet smile.

When she got in my room I said that she looked flawless and she thanked me with a grin.
She saw the mess in my room and said, "So Ethan said you would want my help?"
I nervously nodded.
She looked the clothes which I had selected and said, "You can't wear shorts or skirts in a party which is this huge and also when you are Miles's date. So let's eliminate dresses now. "
I blushed when she said 'Miles's date'. Obviously she knew I had a huge crush on him and also she knew this was the first party I'm attending.
I didn't mind her giving me advice or scolding me for anything because I know she's more experienced plus she's like my sister.
She went nearer to the dress. One was a simple black dress, which had a cut on the back side, allowing my back to show, which was also sleeveless.
Another was sea blue. It was sleeveless too and had a belt below the chest and above the abdomen. It was pretty casual actually.
As I had expected, Selena had selected the black one. I really liked that dress but the thing was that I am too shy to wear it because of the backless thing.
"You have such a lovely dress here and you are afraid to wear it."
Of course she knew I was shy to wear it, just by looking at my face.
"If I were you, I'd choose this dress with my eyes closed." We both giggled after she said it.
"So com'n, let's get started." She said.
She started removing some things from her other bag which she had packed for me and started with some make up which obviously I had never applied before.
Then she ironed my hair and brought down my small bangs. I wore my contact lenses.
Then she choose a pair of shoes for me and also a clutch. Till that time I was already wearing my dress, with my cheeks red.
It took 30 minutes when she said, putting her hand on my shoulder, "There you go Ems. You look flawless as ever. Just smile, and you'll have Miles, down on your knees." We both giggled and I blushed at that thought.
I said, "Thank you so much Selena. You know you are the best, don't you?" And gave her a hug.
"Anything for my sweet future sister-in-law!" She said, and hugged me tight for a bit longer, just to hide her now redden cheeks. I couldn't help but laugh at that thought.
With that we were started going down. I noticed Selena's face getting pink and her body getting tensed, although she had already seen
Ethan few minutes ago.
But suddenly I remembered something and instantly my eyes grew wide open.
I remembered I'd be seeing Miles soon.
Miles. Alone. In the car. Date. Oh. My. Holy. God.
Noticing my reaction on my face, which was as transparent as a glass, Selena put her hand on my shoulder and gave a light squeeze, in other words she meant to say, 'it's gonna be alright chillax'
Only I couldn't be.
My thoughts blew away when my parents (well first my mum) exclaimed, "Oh my god! Emma darling, you are looking just like a princess! As beautiful as ever! Come here sweety" and she gave me a hug and a light kiss on my cheek.
I just blushed and whispered thank you.
Then turning towards Selena she said, "I hope you have given her a girly advice to not to freak out and become a tomato" and winked at me.
Selena laughed and said, "Sure. I have. Don't worry she's gonna make him droll down everyone, specially Miles's chinny chin chins" and winked towards me.
Yes she's a big one direction fan and so am I. I like Niall Horan a lot. He's cute.
Then my dad spoke up, "My baby girl has grown up too fast, maybe. You look beautiful honey. Just be confident and smile more" he gave my a small hug and I said 'thanks'.
Then my brother announced that we should better leave.
As we were heading towards the car, Ethan said, "You look beautiful Ems. I'm sure Miles will realise it today." With a stupid smirk to which I just rolled my eyes.
Then he whispered in Selena's ear, thinking I wouldn't hear him, "You did a great job babe" and kissed her passionately.

Okay that was awkward to me.
After a minute I saw someone coming near us, obviously they were still kissing so they didn't realise it.
Soon I came to know who it was and my heart, no sorry my whole freakin body froze. Literally.
Miles was wearing dark blue jeans and black shirt. We sort of matched and I had a feeling that this was all a set up. Hmmmm. I and Ethan needa talk soon.
His hair were looking perfect with some gel applied on it and he was wearing a black watch as well as black shoes.
Gosh I needa breathe or I'll faint here it self.
He looked just so FLAWLESS.
Now, he was just a feet away and he fake-coughed to gain Selena and Ethan's attention. Instantly they stopped making out and awkwardly said oh hi Miles. Together. Yeah.
Miles just said hi with a smile and came nearer towards me.
Uh oh.
He was just a few inches away.
If he moved a bit, our foreheads would be touching.
He snaked an arm around my waist, which was half touching my naked back, burning that area like fire, and with another hand he tucked a hair strand behind my ear.
He leaned forward, with my heart racing a 1600miles an hour, and whispered, "You look beautiful as always Ems."
Gasp. Loud one.
"And you need to close you mouth coz we don't need flies inside it right now,do we?" With a soft giggle that made my skin burn and my stomach churn.
I smiled nervously.
Then something really unexpected was going to happen.
He came nearer and nearer, eyes never leaving mine until his eyes were focused on my lips and slowly were closed. I knew what was gonna happen and I shut my eyes in fear.
In a few seconds, I could feel his lips on mine. Not pressed but just touched. It was so surreal. I couldn't believe it until his lips brushed mine.
My heart was gonna explode and he was gonna actually kiss me but I heard someone fake-cough. We both were shocked and instantly pulled away from each other.
