"Are you ready yet?" the voice said on the other end of the phone. "No, I will be soon" i said, trying to hold the phone in place, while putting on the red lipstick, i was holding.
"okay, I'll come pick you up in five minutes" Nathan says. "okay honey, love you" I say. "Love you too" he says, before hanging up.
I try to put on the mascara and eyeliner as fast as I possible could and took a look at myself in the full-length mirror i had in my room. I looked rather ravishing, if i do say so myself.
I had my hair curled and put up into a half up - half down hairstyle, I'd put on adamant amount of makeup, just enough to compliment my dress, which was the absolute best part of the entire look. It was a spaghetti sleeved dress that ended mid-thigh,the top half was a light beige and the bottom was a faded denim blue with red and dark pink flowers on it, it came with a brown buckle-belt.
My grandmother and I had gone shopping last month, she bought it for me and told me to put it on, on a very special night, i guess tonight would have to be special enough.
I smiled at myself in the mirror, put on a pair of two inch heels, walked out the door, down the stairs to lounge on the couch.
I was watching a re-run of The Big Bang Theory when my phone rang. I picked it up and there was silence on the other line. "Hello?" I asked. "Clarissa Miller?" a hoarse voice spoke. "Yes?" I answered, cautiously. and the mysterious stranger hung up. The phone I-D read the number, one I was unfamiliar with. That was weird.
I put my phone away and picked up one of the many magazines lying on the coffee table. When I was leafing though the pages I found this article that caught my eye, one about this homeless man who helps out children at orphanages. If all the people on earth were like this kind man, the world would be a much better place.
The door bell rang, as I was looking for something else to read. I answered the door, Nathan stood in front of me, looking drop dead gorgeous in his Navy blue shirt and khaki pants. He was holding a bouquet of roses, I awe-ed and then jumped into his arms, he pulled me close and kissed my cheek, "You look beautiful, well, you always do. You look beautiful-er." He joked. I chuckled, "You don't look so bad yourself" I said eyeing him up and down, He pretended to flip is hair, that sent me laughing again.
....
"Oh My God!" was the only thing that I could think of to say when I saw what Nathan had set up for the both of us. This was beautiful.
