Chapter 6

It was a few hours later Frida didn't get any sleep neither did Benny or the others, Frida was on the verge of tears again but Benny rubbed her back softly and told her things would be fine. The nurse walked into the room with a wheelchair. "Anni-frid the doctor said i could take you and the others down to the NICU to see your baby, i need to push you in the chair though do you think you're up for seeing her?" Frida nodded her head. "yes i want to see my baby, she needs me and her father right now, i want to be with her please take us to her" The nurse nodded and pushed the chair over, Benny and the nurse helped Frida slowly get into her chair, Benny took the handles of the chair and followed the nurse as did Agnetha and Bjorn. The nurse turned the corner and walked down the hall until they reached the NICU, Benny stopped pushing the chair and another nurse inside the Nicu grabbed some scrubs for all of them, they put them on and the first nurse wheeled the incubator out into the hall, the baby was lying inside there with a little hose in her nose and other things hooked up to her tiny little body, Frida was crying and reached her hand in through the holes and softly stroked the baby's little hairs. "I'm so sorry i did this to you, please forgive me angel and please know that mommy and daddy love you so so much, i never meant to do this to you" Benny got to frida's level and looked into her eyes. "don't say that frida, you didn't do this to her, it was an accident honey, please don't ever blame yourself for her being this small" Frida continued to cry and put her head down, Benny stroked frida's hair and kissed her cheek then reached his hand in another hole and stroked the baby's cheek softly. "we love you so much sweetheart, you gotta fight angel ok? we know you can do it you're just like your mommy a fighter and very strong" Agnetha and Bjorn put their hands in the other side of the incubator and smiled at the baby, Benny smiled at them then at the baby again. "this is your auntie agnetha and uncle bjorn, you also have a buddy at home named Linda, i know you two girls will be besties for life just like your mommy and agnetha are" 10 Minutes had passed and the nurse looked at all of them. "I'm sorry but i need to take her now, she needs to go back into the Nicu" Frida started to panic. "No you can't, you can't take my baby, please don't take her from me she needs her mommy and daddy, i'm begging you please let us keep her with us" The nurse sighed. "I wish i could Frida but she needs to be in the Nicu, we're going to take very good care of her i promise and you can see her again tommorow, right now you both need rest" The nurse took the incubator and pushed it away, frida was crying more. "i hate you! she needs me not you, she needs her mommy not a stranger" Benny held frida and looked into her eyes. "Honey please you need to calm down, the stress isn't good for you, i know this is hard but they know what they're doing, they're going to help her i promise you that, we can see her again in the morning, i will make sure that happens ok? please sweetheart you need to believe me" Frida pulled away from Benny and pushed her chair away, she was heading into a deep depression and wanted to be alone. "Just give her time benny, she's hurting right now, she's blaming herself and she just needs time to herself, she loves you and i know you love her and want to help her out but she needs a little space" Benny nodded his head. "I know but i want to be here for her, this is my baby too and it hurts me as well, i hate that i can't do anything to make this better, i just hate it" Bjorn and Agnetha hugged him and headed down the hall to the waiting room to have some coffee and a little chat and let frida be alone for a bit.
